Saturday, February 28, 2015. A Heartfelt Wedding Quilt. I'm finding that nearly everything I sew is a gift and I love that. I love thinking of who will be getting the blanket/quilt and trying to make it representative of them. From fabric shopping to cutting and calculating and all the way to finishing, it takes a lot of time to make a quilt. So you better believe I like you a heck of a lot if I give one to ya! Now that my latest quilt has been given and well received, I can share this giant heart quilt!

Monday, May 19, 2014. SO EXCITED TO HAVE UPDATED OUR COUCH! Its no secret that our sectional had done its time (and then some). We had gotten to the point of stuffing beach towels in the cushions and I usually preferred to sit on the floor. But couches are expensive! A really sweet woman had these in storage, hardly used. Wednesday, March 25, 2015. Recently, I completed my largest quilt to date, 84" x 96" (ahem, 7' x 8')! Although I don't plan to make something quite so huge again, it was a fun one to complete. I had to move my entire dining set to the other side of the room to layer, bind and tie! The feedback I've received is pretty overwhelming! Maybe in like ten years when my seams are straighter we can maybe possibly talk about it. But thank you, thank you for your confidence in my creations! I told you it was crazy!

Thursday, May 21, 2015. What good is a race with no hurdles? This has been one of those weeks where Thursday, today, feels like Wednesday of next week. Its just been so crazy! Had a particularly trying daycare day with a child who, to put it mildly. Has separation anxiety. Then Cody had car battery trouble getting home from work, and then our water heater needed fixing. Oh and lets not forget we are prepping for our bedroom remodel/swap this weekend so I've been packing up our entire room! Wife life....

There is a nice new look! I have finally moved my New or work log, to the journals page. Still not a great picture (too much sun! But what the hey. As Ken would say there may not be much to work with. Oh Well! It looks good to me. Have you ever noticed that when ever you get two or more people in a picture you are bound to get a great picture of one or more of the people but inevitably one person is, well lets just say, not at their best. :).

Sunday, December 21, 2008. It's snuck up on me fast, but I think I'm ready! Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year, I especially like the shopping (not so much the spending). Most of my shopping was done before Thanksgiving, of course nothing got wrapped until this weekend though! Last weekend was spent at mom and dad's house making Christmas goodies and visiting Santa Claus. Griffin didn't love him, but he didn't scream (I considered that a success! You understand now why I say BRING IT ON!
