One of the arguments brought up in class is that the new weight that is considered "normal" and "healthy" is actually heftier than previous weights, due to skewing caused by obesity. That's insane. It's true that certain types of hair are considered more beautiful than others in a certain cultural context. The girls wanted to braid our hair and play with it because it was so different in texture and in the case of blondes, color.
