And then there were four. Our Story 2009 to present. Monday, June 15, 2015. 31w5d - We have a delivery date! Friday I saw my OB and MFM at back-to-back appointments. Weight gain is. nothing. I'm down from my last appointment again so, I've gained nada from appointment #1. In fact, I'm down 3 pounds from my first appointment last December. Hannah has moved right back to transverse position but, since I'm having a c-section, no one is at all concerned about how she's positioned. I wanted to laugh at her an...

And then there were four. Our Story 2009 to present. Wednesday, July 1, 2015. This is the month I have my baby! Okay, OUR baby. I mean, James did have a hand in it! I'm 34 weeks today and, in exactly four weeks, Hannah will make her debut! Remember my last post when I said I want to remember and enjoy every minute of this pregnancy and not rush it? Yeah, I take that back. Since she's moved to head down I feel like my pelvis is supporting the weight of a bowling ball. It's uncomfortable and painful. Final...

Laptops Kill Sperm: Fact or Fiction? - The Modern Belly
http://themodernbelly.com/fertility/2015/02/do-laptops-kill-sperm
Laptops Kill Sperm: Fact or Fiction? Laptops Kill Sperm: Fact or Fiction? Laptops Kill Sperm: Fact or Fiction? By The Modern Belly. February 25, 2015. I was sure that this one isn’t just a superstition, though. We all keep hearing how sperm is sensitive to heat, and those electromagnetic waves probably don’t help either. So what does a data-loving lady do to prove her point? Look up some hard-core scientific support, of course. As it turns out, a study published in 2011. February 26, 2015. It’s sca...

A Very Belated Update | Don't Stop Believing

Don't Stop Believing. Our journey to parenthood. A Very Belated Update. November 22, 2014. I’ve been terrible about updating the blog lately. Since I’ve been back at work, I have been largely overwhelmed and exhausted. My job has changed somewhat – resulting in an increase in my responsibilities. I still work more hours than I would like to, and so I see my baby less than I would like. A while back I posted about our plans for trying for a second baby. We had originally planned to start on our second...

My EBF dilemma | Don't Stop Believing
https://thisbabyjourney.wordpress.com/2014/12/22/my-ebf-dilemma/comment-page-1
Don't Stop Believing. Our journey to parenthood. December 22, 2014. When I was pregnant, I set a goal: I wanted to exclusively breastfeed (EBF) until 6 months. The irony of this is that my goal has put an intense amount of pressure on me, despite the fact that I am extremely supportive of all my friends and however they choose to feed their babies. Breastfeeding, bottle, a mix… I always tell them to “feed the babies” and not to stress too hard about what that ends up being. A Very Belated Update. The mos...

Don't Stop Believing. Our journey to parenthood. Monthly Archives: December 2014. December 22, 2014. When I was pregnant, I set a goal: I wanted to exclusively breastfeed (EBF) until 6 months. So… the past few nights I’ve also been giving him a bottle of formula near or at bedtime. This supplementing hurts my heart but he is so hungry. I need to constantly give myself the same pep talk I give others – feed the babies! I didn’t reach my goal. I didn’t… but I have a happy, healthy son...On My EBF dilemma.

And then there were four...: Beyond devastated...
http://jch4dcu.blogspot.com/2015/01/beyond-devastated.html
And then there were four. Our Story 2009 to present. Monday, January 5, 2015. Two and a half years ago, as all regular readers know, I gave birth to a stillborn son at 32 weeks. The thing about making it that far into a pregnancy (as I've written here before) is that you truly believe that nothing will go so wrong that it won't end with your baby in your arms. Maybe premature, maybe needing the NICU but, alive. Then, I learned today, that a woman I work with lost her first baby this weekend at 36 weeks.
