Life at the Laurels. Wendy and her team of 22 staff between them have hundreds of years’ experience in caring for older people. Wendy is a retired nurse who trained specifically in geriatric and EMI nursing. The Laurels has a duty manager in-house at all times day and night, and waking overnight staff. Our cooks have delighted residents at the Laurels for more than twenty years. All staff are trained to at least NVQ level 2, and many have NVQ level 3, or the Registered Manager’s Award.
