http://www.ela-everyday.com/2015/08/currently-august-2015.html
Saturday, August 01, 2015. So, I totally have mixed feelings about this months currently. I LOVE my girl Farley, but it is also August, which mean school is right around the corner. I have had an amazing summer, so I really can't complain too much. Any-who. lets get to Currently. Around Memorial Day, the addition to my house got flooded in the big storms we had in the Houston area. My house has been in disarray since. I am so glad that they finished yesterday. Now all I have left to do is cle...I know th...

Mrs. Plemons' Kindergarten: Meet the Teacher!
http://www.mrsplemonskindergarten.com/2015/08/meet-teacher.html
Wow this summer is FLYING by! Here in Wisconsin, most teachers don't go back to school until September, but that doesn't mean we don't all start. Thinking about back to school the second we flip our calendar over to August. I'm here to share some tips and ideas for back to school/meet the teacher/open house or whatever you may call it at your school. Tip #1 - Snacks! Cooling everyone down with some beverages and filling the kiddos up with sugar usually breaks the ice and puts a smile on all of our faces.

June 2015 - Second Grade Stories
http://2gradestories.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
It's time to link up again with everyone over at the Teaching With Intention book study! Chapter 4 is hosted by two fab bloggers -Ashley over at Schroeder Shenanigans in Second. This week's chapter dove right into the meaty question - How can we put our thinking (and that of our students) on display and make it real and authentic with our kiddos? The part I need to work on is the actual display part. I really like this quote: "Why is making thinking public and permanent in our classrooms a great thin...

Monday, June 8, 2015. Reflect and Refresh: Part 1. Welcome to Reflect and Refresh, a two part linky party where teacher bloggers share their reflections on the 2014-2015 school year and ways they are planning to refresh their teaching in 2015-2016. I like to use technology as much as I can in the classroom. I have a private class Instagram account and my teacher webpage. In the past, I've used Remind101 and I loved it! I'm working on new covers and will put them in my TpT store when they're done! This wa...

The Elementary Entourage: Meet the Teacher (Tickled Pink in Primary)
http://theelementaryentourage.blogspot.com/2015/08/meet-teacher-tickled-pink-in-primary.html
Meet the Teacher (Tickled Pink in Primary). I love getting to meet all of my parents before school starts, but I'm not going to lie, I get SO nervous talking in front of adults. Put me in front of kids all day long, but adults.no thank you! My parents have commented on how much they love the money/notes pouch. They never have to worry about money or notes getting lost anymore. It is a bit pricey to buy a set of pencil pouches for an entire class each year, but I think it is well worth it! Once all the pa...
