THE LEE FAMILY

A Chronicle of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Hockey.in ALASKA! Tuesday, April 20, 2010. I have less than succeeded at my intentions to consistently update our family blog. Our latest venture, as you can see, is the installation of our very own and first, Zip Line! Looks to be a good year for them so bring your repellant if you plan on coming our way. B...

THE LEE FAMILY: Welcome Back...Almost There!

http://theleefamily6.blogspot.com/2009/08/welcome-backalmost-there.html

A Chronicle of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Hockey.in ALASKA! Tuesday, August 18, 2009. Welcome Back.Almost There! We arrived at Tok in ample time set up camp and make a run to the local grocery. In celebratory fashion on the occasion of our arrival in the motherland, we had grilled steak and chicken tonight. Lori will be embarrassed as I share that we had instant mashed potatoes but nonetheless, they went well with superbly grilled steaks on our first night in Alaska! August 19, 2009 at 5:26 AM.

THE LEE FAMILY: May 2009

http://theleefamily6.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html

A Chronicle of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Hockey.in ALASKA! Monday, May 4, 2009. Love My Precious Family! It is lazy Monday, my day to do close to nothing (well, maybe laundry) after a busy weekend! We had a great weekend! Needless to say the house was wild and crazy for a while after they arrived! We had a relaxing Saturday with a little yard-sale time for Brad, the Grandparents and girls, and then out for Georgia BBQ for lunch! He does awesome for an 80 year old, I must say! Brad also got to pre...

And as you can also see, the ground has now turned to magical white as the kids have immediately enjoyed the nice slope in the front yard. In the other pictures you can see the house is coming along. The drywall crew is in full swing and should be here today to begin sanding- Yuck! Blessings to all,. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Journeying...: April 2011

http://sconda.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html

Thursday, April 28, 2011. Skillet is one of my favorite Christian rock groups out there. Their music just speaks to me. Recently I found a link on youtube that scrolls through their videos. Just thought I would share it. For those who don't like rock, please take a moment to get past the style of music to the words. They are pretty awesome! Http:/ www.youtube.com/watch? Journeying...: Rules and Control

http://sconda.blogspot.com/2010/07/rules-and-control.html

Tuesday, July 27, 2010. Today while driving Scott to work, the thought came to me regarding rules and control. There are rules to control how fast we drive. There are rules about which lane of the road to be in to take a certain exit. There are also God’s rules. Do we only follow the rules when there is a presence of authority? The same thought hit me with our relationship with God. Do we only obey His rules when His presence is directly in front of us? Whose control are we under? View my complete profile.

Journeying...: April 2009

http://sconda.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html

Monday, April 27, 2009. Another Lesson I Am Learning. Who do I live for? Who do I show compassion to? The thought running through my mind is: I am to be living my life in accordance to God’s will with the end result being service with compassion to others. The next lesson I am learning is how to pull myself out of my circumstances and be of better service to others. That service could be just to have a kind and listening ear and shutting my mouth. A lot of times that is all people need. A recurring thoug...

Journeying...: February 2010

http://sconda.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html

Friday, February 26, 2010. Fast Food Harvest from God? Leviticus 19:23-25, NLT. When you enter the land and plant fruit trees, leave the fruit unharvested for the first three years and consider it forbidden. Do not eat it. In the fourth year the entire crop must be consecrated to the Lord as a celebration of praise. Finally, in the fifth year you may eat the fruit. If you follow this pattern, your harvest will increase. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Seeking God's footsteps on this journey called life!

Journeying...: Chosen & Usable

http://sconda.blogspot.com/2011/04/chosen-usable.html

Wednesday, April 27, 2011. All Scripture quotations are from the New Living Translation. Life Application Bible, Profile on Saul: “Saul was God’s chosen leader, but this did not mean he was capable of being king on his own.” Just like Saul we are God’s chosen, but that does not we are “capable” of doing God’s work, living life on our own. 16:14-15: “Now the spirit of the Lord had left Saul, and the Lord sent a tormenting spirit that filled him with depression and fear.”. Jealousy hit Saul in chapter 18&#...

Sunday, October 24, 2010. Time Has Been Tickin' Away. Just looked at the blog and it has been a really long time since I have posted anything on here. Life has gotten busy, but a good kind of busy. Scott is still working at Nazarene Publishing House. I started working August 20 and am so grateful. Anytime family or friends want to come for a visit. Just let us know. We would love to see you. Not a very profound update, but this should fill you in on life at the moment. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Wednesday, February 23, 2011. Time Just Slips Through Like Sands in an Hourglass. Still journeying on this ride we call life. Seeking truth as truth - not legalism, but what is really truth. This is where I am on this ride. How much do I believe in is based on human rules and not God's rules? Seeking who I really am as this forty-something. Do we ever really figure this out - or are we always working on who we really are? As a dear friend has been telling me (us): If we don't take care of ourselves - no ...
