Dispatches From The Field: New Music: Benoit & Sergio

http://www.theleftofthedial.blogspot.com/2011/07/new-music-benoit-sergio.html

Dispatches From The Field. Monday, 18 July 2011. New Music: Benoit and Sergio. Performed by London’s Kindness. Perhaps their best track yet, is a case in point, but deserves hearing in it’s own right, rather than having me spoil it for you. Of the two tracks, Everybody is by far the strongest, displaying a funkiness previously suggested by their cover of Daft Punk’s Around The World. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Dispatches From The Field: Mogwai - Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will

http://www.theleftofthedial.blogspot.com/2011/03/mogwai-hardcore-will-never-die-but-you.html

Dispatches From The Field. Sunday, 20 March 2011. Mogwai - Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will. Mogwai - Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will 3.5/5. The rest is standard Mogwai fare; solid post-rock played by men with their guitar pedals set to ‘epic’. Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will probably won’t win the band many new fans, but it will almost certainly satisfy those that they already have. Download: How To Be A Werewolf. Dispatches From The Field: January 2011

Dispatches From The Field. Friday, 14 January 2011. Elliott Smith - An Introduction to Elliott Smith. An Introduction to. Elliott Smith – 4.5/5. It really would be a shame if Elliott Smith became Jeff Buckley; his songs propping up the emotional moments on every below-par American drama series, embellishing utter banality with a twinge of true intensity. It’s a good job then that Smith’s songs are characterised with possibly a little too much sadness to ever fulfil this role. Phair’s thoroughly lis...

Review Time With TB.: #91...

http://reviewtimewithtb.blogspot.com/2011/03/91.html

Review Time With TB. Reviews, previews, general comments and soapboxing from me. This blog is about music, lyrics and memories - three inexplicably intertwining ideas. Thursday, 31 March 2011. 91 - The Clash -. The Clash (US Version). Costing only £4000. To produce, the four lads should be bloody chuffed with the results. Seven of the fifteen tracks clock in at under 150 seconds. With that, there's more to The Clash than easy to listen, catchy tunes (something I wrongly thought was their staple) like...

Review Time With TB. Reviews, previews, general comments and soapboxing from me. This blog is about music, lyrics and memories - three inexplicably intertwining ideas. Saturday, 26 March 2011. Listening to this album makes me think, "Of course! Is actually the brain behind Flight of the Conchords! He even sounds like Jermaine on "Peaches and Cream", and don't even get me started on "Debra", which has never been a more direct inspiration for the shepherds-turned-musicians' classic, "Jenny". Review Time With TB. Reviews, previews, general comments and soapboxing from me. This blog is about music, lyrics and memories - three inexplicably intertwining ideas. Thursday, 31 March 2011. 92 - Pavement -. Well, here's another band I'd heard of but not actually heard. I can see this is going to take place quite often. But anyway, enough of cartoons. There's a certain sound that come from this band; uniquity isn't the word, because nowadays, nothing. Something surf-rock-ish, that I can't place; someth...

Review Time With TB. Reviews, previews, general comments and soapboxing from me. This blog is about music, lyrics and memories - three inexplicably intertwining ideas. Thursday, 31 March 2011. 93: Parliament Funkadelic -. Let me revoke my statement about Beck. He ain't no funk compared to the P-Funk, baaaaaby! Do they have that hyphen? Who knows. Who cares? S'all good in the hood with 'the Mothership' around.* (A further apology.). And even the multiple-voiced song-hooks - "If you hear any noise." on...

The Left Nut

Wednesday, August 30, 2006. MSNBC has given air time to the worst pseudo-journalist/host in the entire world: Tucker Carlson. Ok, he dropped the bowtie and got a tan, but he still sucks out loud. Today's show consisted of arguments about how best to combat Iran's nuclear proliferation programs bookended by discussions about polygamy and Dancing With the Stars, which ultimately served as avenues to take pot-shots at liberals' views on gay marriage and Jerry Springer. The Left of Perfect

Tuesday, 21 July 2015. OOTD - Floral Skate Baby Doll Dress. This Saturday was Style XL in Birmingham (that will be another post) and I had already planned on what I was going to wear. I saw this floral baby doll skater. On the Simply Be website a week or so ago and knew it would be ideal. I decided to get the tall length so It came below my knees and so it would force me to go bare legged. The dress is really light weight too, so it definitely going to be coming in my suitcase to Egypt! Its also Style XL.

The left (out) coast. June 1, 2012 · 11:55 pm. Every month I will be doing a little wrap up to give a little taste of who performed and who didn’t in the Major Leagues and what to watch for in the next month. Best Player – Josh Hamilton. It isn’t often when someone can throw a perfect game and still be upstaged in the same month, but the numbers speak for themselves: 16 times someone has hit 4 homers in a game while there have been 21 perfect games. Most Disappointing – Rickie Weeks. Honorable mentions g...
