Philadelphia Plein Air Painters. Tuesday, May 27, 2014. Over the Memorial Day weekend the PPAP hit the beach and boardwalk in Atlantic City for some sun, surf and plein air painting. The weather couldn't have been better, it was Goldilocks weather both days, and the beaches were crowded but not as packed as they will be later in the season when the weather and water will be a lot warmer. Who look after strays and take care of the many stray cats in Atlantic City and elsewhere. Will painted with gouache an...

Philadelphia Plein Air Painters. Thursday, June 4, 2015. Camp Hill Plein Air. This past week a few of the PPAP members along with myself took part in the 5th annual Camp Hill Plein Air. Event out in Camp Hill, PA, a very picturesque little town next to Harrisburg, nestled along the banks and rolling hills of the Susquehanna River. I hopped out of the Jeep as I pulled over just as a huge cloud of smoke billowed out of the engine! I popped the hood to see the engine or part of it on fire! So a tow truck wa...

Philadelphia Plein Air Painters. Sunday, July 27, 2014. Yesterday morning I hopped in the car and drove out to the Brandywine area to find a spot to paint. My Palette colors: Cinnabar Green,Terra Verte, Hansa Yellow, Raw Umber, Mars Yellow deep, Naphthol Scarlet, Gablin Radiant White, Bolat Blue, Blick Violet Pastel. Philadelphia Plein Air Painters: October 2014
http://philadelphiapleinairpainters.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Philadelphia Plein Air Painters. Thursday, October 30, 2014. In the past few weeks I have been able to get out and about and paint a bit and enjoy the great fall we have been experiencing here in Philadelphia. In the next week or so I expect we will be at the peak of the fall colors so I will be sure to get back out and try and catch some of them on canvas before they are gone with the wind. Will and Diane worked in the next cell block over from me. This was Will's sweet little landscape. Here is my fina...

Philadelphia Plein Air Painters: March 2015
http://philadelphiapleinairpainters.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Philadelphia Plein Air Painters. Saturday, March 21, 2015. My first strip was to the creek on the 9th of March, just after a pretty big snow, and the weather was in he 5o's so it made a great day to get out even though down by the creek it was still pretty cold. I found a great spot with huge logs jammed up on these rocks that made a really dynamic composition and went for it. I used a SourceTek. I set up and raced the sun and my freezing feet in this great scene. Spring Thaw 12 x 16 Oil. Here is William...

Philadelphia Plein Air Painters: July 2013
http://philadelphiapleinairpainters.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Philadelphia Plein Air Painters. Friday, July 5, 2013. 4th of July Paint Out. I knew I'd last maybe 90 minutes tops in the sun with the heat just beating on me, so iIworked fast and snapped pics as I knew I'd be finishing this in the studio. This was my start and below I snapped another process shot. My eyes kept filling with sweat and it was hard after a while to judge the values a bit. I did take a break and sit back in the shade on the car for a spell to give my eyes a rest. Delaware Barns 16 x 20 Oil.

The Lexi Review
Dogs, dogs, dogs! All things dog related critiqued by a Doberman! Nethermead – Prospect Park, 5/22/07. Lexi and the Chickens. Dogs and chickens are often thought as predator and prey, but that doesn’t have to be the case. Good farm dogs often have wonderful relationships with chickens. Check out the photo below of the cozy relationship some dogs and chickens can have in a farm setting:. So, the moral being that your dog doesn’t have to see your chickens necessarily as their next meal! On a regular basis,...

Sunday, November 11, 2007. The King Who Limped. The plot of the story is very good with its exposition, rising action, climax and falling action. The exposition is perfectly calculated, she could give an idea of almost all the characters of the drama in the first scene itself. The rising action starts with the arrival of the King in a strange look! The falling action comprises of the great responsibilities a King should take into consideration, it also deals with how a King should be? Vera created a funn...
