Literary Acquisitionist: Tell King Tut I want my mummy

http://litacquisitionist.blogspot.com/2007/06/tell-king-tut-i-want-my-mummy.html

On the titillating path of literary acquisition. Monday, June 4, 2007. Tell King Tut I want my mummy. I miss my mum. When she last got in touch she was going to a sinfully sunny island in Greece. She’s on a cruise – complete with movie cinemas, swimming pools and restaurants - where dinner is served promptly at ‘whatever o’clock.’ When some folks in her social group decided to book a cruise, she jumped high and far at the chance to travel. I look forward to seeing her. Books, Baguettes and Bedbugs,.

Reading...: Some quick and general comments (thru ch 21)

http://readingmiddlemarch.blogspot.com/2006/11/some-quick-and-general-comments-thru.html

Previously read: The Red and the Black, War and Peace, Middlemarch. Tuesday, November 28, 2006. Some quick and general comments (thru ch 21). Then there's the letters. Stendhal's treatment of the episode seems so opposite to what we (as a mature, postmodern reading audience) have come to expect. Sorry for not going into more detail, but I'm short on time. What do you think of M de Renal's show of character in response to the letters? Posted by Isabella Kratynski at 8:48 AM. Links to this post:.

The Biblio Files: Science Fiction

http://thebibliofiles.blogspot.com/2006/02/science-fiction.html

Quad scipsi, scripsi. I Read The Books So You Don't Have To. After working in a bookstore and running this blog for over a year, I HAVE DISCOVERED that people in general actually have no idea about books! The classic English teacher hands out a reading assignment to kids that have no clue what to do much less where to start rings true to more than just the parent. It seems that whichever country you happen to be in, people are paralyzed when faced with the vast world of literature. Books Ya Have to Read.

The Library Kids

By Rita Jean Moran. I won this book through Goodreads and I loved it. It was a fast read, because it is written for children, yet the story held my interest and I couldn't wait to get to the end of the book and see how it ended. And now that I have read this one I want to read the others in the series! Really cute story about 5 curious children who are invited into a wonderous library! What are the books about? Read About Some Interesting Things at Rita Jean Moran's BlogSpot. Go to my YouTube channel.
