Tuesday, 18 August 2015. I have been working on an animated book trailer for a client recently. This gave me a good excuse to buy some new art pens and get drawing. But I was then faced with the realisation that I had to animate everything, which posed a whole new challenge in itself – but one which was soon solved, thanks to Photoshop's animation palette. Although the effect I wanted was very simple (the "Parallax shift" effect), it was really exciting to suddenly see my piece of artwork come to life!

Wednesday, 28 January 2015. I was very sad last week to hear of the passing of Edgar Froese, the founding member of German electronic music pioneers, Tangerine Dream. Does have a somewhat similar, if darker feel to Jarre’s Oxygène. Which would emerge a couple of years later. And most recently, White Eagle. While many people sing high praise for their early work, another generation was inspired by the albums that Tangerine Dream put out in the 1980s – I’d seen White Eagle. Indeed the music on White Eagle.

Two words: THANK YOU to everybody who has visited my website, this blog or social media pages, and most of all, huge thanks to any of you who've bought an album or taken an interest in my artwork. Your support really is appreciated. Looking back, I've had a busy year, having released two albums, illustrated 5 book covers, produced 3 new pieces of SF artwork AND exhibited at Loncon3 and Novacon 45. A year to be proud of, I think!
