*a day in the life*: Remember, remember!
http://smileybrylie.blogspot.com/2015/07/remember-remember.html
Sunday, July 26, 2015. I've been feeling like heaven is really far away lately. It's my own doing really, Life is so busy and loud and I've fallen out of a lot of good habits. Reading scriptures, praying, etc are so easy to do everyday that they are also really easy NOT to do everyday. The last thing I read before I went to bed last night was my Sunday school lesson (about the 10 virgins). I told my class that I had a treat for them at the end, and they couldn't wait! You don't like weddings? I wish I ha...

A Journal of my random thoughts in response to my family's request to keep them up-to-date and to share my stories. Thursday, October 7, 2010. I now have 2 son-in-laws (or is it sons-in-law? And they were together for the first time this week. Luke, Papahashi and Mike. On Monday after Jamie and Jenelle got out of school we drove up to Edmonton to meet up with Mike. We hadn't seen him since Christmas and with him so close (relatively speaking) we wanted to spend at least some time with him. There was a fr...

A Journal of my random thoughts in response to my family's request to keep them up-to-date and to share my stories. Saturday, April 23, 2011. Hawaii 2011 Part I. On April 7th we headed to the airport to catch a flight to Hawaii. We were going for Erika's graduation ceremony. And to visit our grandkids of course. There was a direct flight from Calgary to Hawaii but because I'm too cheap to pay the extra $60 per person we had a 2 hour lay over at YVR (Vancouver Airport). Nice face Jamie. I brought some thi...

Thursday, May 28, 2015. We had a few names picked out but when he came they didn't feel right. We were hoping to go home that night, but we ended up having to stay because the baby needed an ECG and glucose tests before every feeding for the first 12 hours of his life. I had no idea that this was a requirement for LARGE babies. And he was pretty large. 10lbs even. My biggest baby by far! Born at 41 weeks and beating Takeo (who I thought was a pretty good size) by almost 2lbs. Is your name John? We tried ...

*a day in the life*: Happy Birthday, Beamish Boy!
http://smileybrylie.blogspot.com/2015/07/happy-birthday-beamish-boy.html
Tuesday, July 28, 2015. Happy Birthday, Beamish Boy! He started the day off with Timbits -his favorite treat. We dressed them up as "dust sprouts" (from Totoro of course, because he is obsessed with all things Totoro). Then he punched some balloons like you do on your birthday. He played in the sand and dumped water on his head repeatedly. And three butterflies followed him around the whole time. He sat down and read it over and over. We came home for some cake and ice cream. We sure love our happy-Tak!

Thursday, July 16, 2015. I haven't blogged in over a month, we were in Canada for 3 weeks and just got back and I am sad because i didn't take enough pictures (but happy because I am trying to just enjoy things more). For Luke's birthday he got a go-pro type camera and we used it out at the lake, here is a bit of what we did:. I didn't get video of Tracen EZ skiing or of Porter knee-boarding. We had great weather, good food and lots of fun. Looks like so much fun! July 18, 2015 at 4:35 PM. Ni cole ni cole.

A Journal of my random thoughts in response to my family's request to keep them up-to-date and to share my stories. Wednesday, March 19, 2014. Good Bye old friend. Have you ever had favourite article of clothing that you simply loved for one reason or another? Take a look at the banner picture above. Do you notice the shirt I'm wearing? It was a gift from my sister Wilma and her family many years ago. Needless to say it was a sad day for me. That shirt and me have gone through a lot together I've wor...
