I Am Not A Hipster: May 2013
http://historyandshinythings.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
I Am Not A Hipster. My happy life with my boys. Tuesday, May 28, 2013. Fast forward an hour and we were sitting on the plane with a child screaming from hunger, smiling sheepishly and apologizing while the rest of the passengers shot us eye-daggers as they boarded. It looked something like this. It sucked, and we learned our lesson. I can only hope at least one of boys inherits my wanderlust. Friday, May 24, 2013. It was tough on all of us. On Andrea's blog to inspiredme to make a similar post comparing ...

I Am Not A Hipster: The End of an Era
http://historyandshinythings.blogspot.com/2014/05/the-end-of-era.html
I Am Not A Hipster. My happy life with my boys. Wednesday, May 14, 2014. The End of an Era. It was The Boy's last day of preschool today. Per tradition, he wore his jammies and I cried a little. I am so very proud and can't believe how fast the time has flown. May 15, 2014 at 7:44 AM. It goes too fast! May 22, 2014 at 2:08 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). World traveler and housewife. I Am Not A Hipster: Nature
http://historyandshinythings.blogspot.com/2014/07/nature.html
I Am Not A Hipster. My happy life with my boys. Wednesday, July 23, 2014. It's tricky, really, us living in the suburbs and me being disabled, but the boys don't get to experience as much nature and outdoorsy stuff as I'd like. So we take exposure to flora and fauna where we can find it. Like last weekend when we took a trip to the garden center and my little guy. Saw this little guy. Who was, as far as I'm aware, the first real live caterpillar The Boy's ever seen. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

I Am Not A Hipster: June 2013
http://historyandshinythings.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
I Am Not A Hipster. My happy life with my boys. Tuesday, June 25, 2013. Do you remember those mornings in high school when it all went wrong? Like not real world, starving children wrong, but Molly Ringwald wrong? The kind where the boy you like holds hands with another girl, you get a bad grade on a test then your bestie abandons you to have lunch with somebody else. This morning was one of those mornings. Wheelies & Wonderment: April 2011
http://wheeliesandwonderment.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Life from a disabled parent's perspective. Monday, April 11, 2011. Raising kids to have positive self-esteem. I have often wondered if my kids will be made fun of because their mom is in a wheelchair. So far, this doesn't seem to be an issue, but my oldest is only seven. I think that raising all children should be this way. If your child wants to participate in soccer, but is incessantly clumsy, let him play anyway! If you continue to be upbeat and hold your head high, so will your kids. This blog is, ho...

I Am Not A Hipster: Time For School
http://historyandshinythings.blogspot.com/2014/09/time-for-school.html
I Am Not A Hipster. My happy life with my boys. Sunday, September 7, 2014. Times two. Both my little guys have endured massive changes over the past few weeks. The Boy has started kindergarten and The Little Boy(my baaayyybeeeee) has started preschool. And I've only cried a little. So far, so good. Despite my reservations about his age(he's five but one of the few kids from his preschool to skip pre-k. Stupid redshirting! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). World traveler and housewife.
