The Line Gallery Monoblog: September 2011
http://thelineonlinemonoblog.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
The leaves are golden. I'm sitting here, having just posted news of our Christmas exhibition With the wind in their wings. And it occurs to me that I am looking out at the trees on the High Street - and their leaves are browns and golds. It is September 20th for goodness sake! And I will stick with my pleasure. I will wait and see -. Could not agree more. Posted by Line Gallery. Tuesday, September 20, 2011.
The Line Gallery Monoblog: October 2011
http://thelineonlinemonoblog.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
New kids on the block . It is not every day that I would find I had something in common with an image like this one, but do you see the large gentleman in the centre of the photograph? Elisabet gets back from her sojourn in Sweden on Tuesday, which will be good. I think she will be pleased to be home and I know I will be delighted to have her back. I wonder if she will notice the new sign for the gallery that will go up tomorrow? Posted by Line Gallery. Sunday, October 16, 2011.

To see ourselves as others see us. The new show at The Line opened yesterday with Colin Wilson's fantastic fruit and Lorna Pirrie's portraits - we just could not resist showing you The Ladies of The Line which is now proudly on display. This is one that will certainly not be getting away! And the loose ends? Sent back in the post, I fear. Done and dusted and that ground will not be being disturbed again. Memories are precious, no one said they needed to be accurate. Posted by Line Gallery.
The Line Gallery Monoblog: March 2013

The Hasselblad prize 2013 has been awarded to the ingenious Spanish photographer Joan Fontcuberta. Joan Fontcuberta is most famous as an conceptual photographer, but he is also a well known author, curator and tutor. He uses his influence to publicise the history of Spanish photography internationally. A book with his work is underway and on October 25 an exhibition of his photographs will open at the Hasselblad Centre in Gothenburg, Sweden. Posted by Line Gallery. Monday, March 11, 2013. Flux - and beyond. Well, this has been the season of delight and joy, hasn't it? All that lovely snow and picturesque whiteness, the frosty mornings and the icicles in the hedgerows, hanging from the guttering and just about everything else. And all of those unexpected waterfalls when the thaw came and the pipes celebrated by splitting so very thoroughly . So - to all of those who read this thing, Elisabet and I would like to wish you a very peaceful and happy 2011. Posted by Line Gallery. Warmth of the ...

The Line Publishing: Living in the past
http://thelinepublishing.blogspot.com/2008/07/living-in-past.html
Living in the past. We have always had an involvment with printing and publishing, either through The Line directly or via projects with which we have been involved, but now we are taking a big, exciting step further. In addition to the cards which we produce 4 or 5 times a year, and the small, CD format calendar of Elisabet's photographs which has proven to be very popular, The Line Publishing will release its first book this autumn. We are very hopeful that this first step will lead further.

September 5 to 29 2015. Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness . autumn is not so very far away, and food is always very close to our hearts here at The Line. Julia, Hayley and Harriet Murden. Each in their own way share our enthusiasm. Julia and Helen show their appreciation of cake, coffee and beverages for all ages through the medium of paint, whist Hayley combines photography and watercolour to show her luscious, juicy fruits. The Line Gallery Diary: July 11 to August 4 2015
http://thelineonlinediary.blogspot.com/2015/07/july-11-to-august-4-2015.html
July 11 to August 4 2015. A month in a tin shepherd's hut on Iona might sound like an ideal retreat from the buzz of everyday life, and a wonderful opportunity to concentrate on the land and the sea, to focus on her art - but the month was February of this year, and Sarah Keast. Found that nature had a lot to say for itself! A varied and thought provoking exhibition we know will interest many. Do come along and see for yourself! Posted by Line Gallery.

The Line Gallery Diary: August 8 to September 1 2015
http://thelineonlinediary.blogspot.com/2015/07/august-8-to-september-1-2015.html
August 8 to September 1 2015. For those of us with a Glasgow background, Glasgow Print Studio, Third Eye Centre, Wasps - all of these will have a resonance which time does nothing to diminish. Running like a warp thread through all of this - vital to the solidity of the fabric of time, but not always overly visible on the surface - is John Taylor. Painter and print maker, teacher and objective commentator, John's and his work have earned a place in Scotland's canon. The Line. Posted by Line Gallery.

I'd like to write a bit about my mother and about why it is entirely logical that her daughter runs an art-gallery. I have memories, from when I still had to work hard at see over the edge of the table, of mother painstakingly explaining drawings, or funny cartoons, to me . Drawing, funny or beautifully detailed, portraits or landscapes were part of what my mother did, always. Mum never knew about my little spat with cancer, it was not thre right time to tell her. And I am so sorry that I didn't know...
