Sam's Children's Literature Blog: a dust joke

http://thelitslegit.blogspot.com/2008/11/dust-joke.html

Sam's Children's Literature Blog. Thursday, November 27, 2008. A little boy was playing with a bouncey ball in his room and it rolled under his bed. He looked under his bed and yelled urgently for his mom. When she got to the room he asked, "is it true that man was made from dust, and when he dies he returns to dust? The mom answered, "yes this is true." and the little boy said, "well, quick look under my bed because someone is either goin' or comin'.". And now you know, the rest of the story.".

what does it really mean?: It's a Mad Mad Chapter, But NOT the Mad Hatter's Chapter

http://lisahiller304.blogspot.com/2008/11/its-mad-mad-chapter-but-not-mad-hatters.html

What does it really mean? Wednesday, November 5, 2008. It's a Mad Mad Chapter, But NOT the Mad Hatter's Chapter. My favorite chapter in Alice and Wonderland is Pig and Pepper. And simply because it is MAD! It is as if she is in a nightmare with colors, love, hate, desire, knowledge, passion, adulthood, and childhood. Even though she cannot accept herself as ALICE. She is who she is, but does not feel that. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Group #6 best in the west: Script for the Puppet Show.

Children and Young Adult Literature. Wednesday, November 26, 2008. What is the point of dust in Philip Pullman's trilogy? Did he write dust to be something in particular? What does it really mean? Sunday, October 26, 2008. My book and heart shall never part. We "answered" the question, "what is a child? And even though everyone came up with a different answer, there is no right answer as we all know. And after seeing the movie on Thursday it only provoked more questions, for me as least. This may seem a bit demented or perhaps uncalled for, and before asking this I have to make clear that it's all based around the question "what is a child? His Dark Materials, My Daemon.

http://lisahiller304.blogspot.com/2008/11/as-i-started-to-drift-off-into.html

What does it really mean? Monday, November 3, 2008. Dreaming gave me a headache. As I started to drift off into dreamland, I had no idea what was going to take place in my subconscious in the passing hours. My head was pounding, and I felt very sick. I took myself to the bathroom got a glass of water, and decided to fall back asleep. Again with a splitting headache. So I got some Advil this time and drank another glass of water, and tried to go back to sleep. I was in the dream again!

What does it really mean? Thursday, October 30, 2008. The Struggles of Growing Up. Than there's the whole struggle she is gowing through with her physical size. One minute she's too big then she's too small and then she's perfect and then she's entirely too big even to be in a house. Her struggle with her size Alice associates with adulthood as well as the mind and knowledge. In Alice's mind size is just as much a part of growing up as knowledge.
