The Little House Out Back: July 2014
http://thelittlehouseoutback.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Disclosure and Privacy Policy. Tuesday, July 8, 2014. She was wondering about across the street, so we scooped her up, looked for her home, then brought her to ours. We stopped by the animal shelter so they could put her up on their Web site where her picture stayed for 30 days. On July 3, 2014, she officially became ours! She was in heat when we found her and had all the signs of having had puppies. And she's estimated to be only a year and a half! Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Laser c...

The Little House Out Back: Beautiful Phenomenon
http://thelittlehouseoutback.blogspot.com/2015/07/beautiful-phenomenon.html
Disclosure and Privacy Policy. Saturday, July 18, 2015. The waters of the Monterey Bay, California, never looked so emerald green! In all my years of living here, this is the first time the ocean was so green. One of my science-y on-line friends explained it this way, " COCCOLITHOPHORES! Little unicell algae with bright white calcium carbonate plates. Looks like Caribbean shallow water with carbonate sand. Yay! It was a lovely sight to behold. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Little House Out Back: Evening Sky
http://thelittlehouseoutback.blogspot.com/2014/12/evening-sky.html
Disclosure and Privacy Policy. Sunday, June 7, 2015. On a sky/cloud kick. The moon was so bright and it was still daylight! And, of course, good golly Miss Molly with a piece of straw on her chin. Note: I found this in my drafts and couldn't let it go to waste! I think it's from December of last year. July 21, 2015 at 5:47 AM. I love these cloud photos! The sky was gorgeous. This past Sunday our pastor talked about looking for God and said, Where do you see God? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

These are the watercolors I still can't believe I did for our craft swap. I really like how they turned out. I stenciled these glassine bags to wrap them in. I also stenciled a shadow-like image on each one. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Just like me, it needs a lot work. Central Coast, CA, United States. Just Something I Made.

Where's Blue Bird?: August 2011
http://wheresbluebird.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 20, 2011. In one week I set sail on this cruise. But I'm leaving early (Tuesday) to spend a little time with Julie, Keith and the girls. Skyler starts school on Monday so it will be fun to see her reaction to first grade close up. Last year Grace went to Quilt Camp in Cambria (California) with me to make one of Rob Appell's Endangered Species quilts and I think she's kinda hooked. Especially with the adventure! I know that I haven't posted pictures from our trip to New York and New Engla...
Where's Blue Bird?: January 2012
http://wheresbluebird.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 20, 2012. Yesterday I had a chance to go to 'Road' with my friend Rose. I didn't do too much damage. 2 sets (16) of fat-eighths of Batik; one light and one dark. I bought some of these last year and just wanted to get the deal again. 2 sets of (25) fat-eights; one of solids and the other of Kaffe Fassett prints. It seemed like a good way to get several of his prints without spending too much money. Here's a few of the pictures I took of quilts in the show. A red 'Jane' quilt. More fun Wit...
Where's Blue Bird?: September 2011
http://wheresbluebird.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 29, 2011. Upstate New York - History and the Sapsucker Woods. After leaving Niagara Falls we traveled across the state heading toward Seneca Falls. On the way we stopped in Waterloo. Waterloo, New York is small town America, but the patriotism here is huge. Here's the man talking to Ray. Everything there has a reason and a story,. But I don't remember them all. They even honored the women. And it's value in the civil war. It was the forerunner of the Red Cross and was created to r...
Where's Blue Bird?: December 2011
http://wheresbluebird.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 27, 2011. Merry Christmas - a bit late. I was sick for Christmas and even though only a few come over these days, I didn't want them to get sick so I postponed it. We'll get together tomorrow. I know it seems strange, but it was all I could do. I am hoping to post in a more timely manner in 2012, but I seem to have a hard time getting my pictures on the blog. It takes forever! I hope everyone had a great Christmas and that 2012 will be a wonderful year for you! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
Titancia: Project 15 of 52: Origami Crane Necklaces
http://titancia.blogspot.com/2015/08/project-15-of-52-origami-crane-necklaces.html
Project 15 of 52: Origami Crane Necklaces. My extended family has stared this great new thing: a craft group! We meet every 2 or 3 months and bring something crafty we've made for everyone. The last group we had, I made everyone leather tassels. We met just last week and this time I made origami crane necklaces for everyone. I admit- my mother. The most difficult part was taking the photos- the silver foiled backs are so reflective, my camera did not like to take photos! Wednesday, August 12, 2015.

Where's Blue Bird?: Playing in the Kern Valley
http://wheresbluebird.blogspot.com/2012/10/playing-in-kern-valley.html
Sunday, October 7, 2012. Playing in the Kern Valley. On our (almost) monthly trip to the lake we had a great time, of course! Here's a couple of the guys who performed, but I don't remember who they are. Our view through the trees. We have never been on this side of the river. It's sad to see how low the water is. One morning we met Dad and Daisy and Mike and Cathy in Bakersfield for a late breakfast at Hodels. Here's a picture of the river in the canyon. Dad and Daisy. He's gonna be 90 in January! You c...
Where's Blue Bird?: June 2012
http://wheresbluebird.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 16, 2012. This has been a week of physical activity and it's not done yet. And my allergies are still giving me grief. After two months on the road there's lots of work to be done unloading the 5th wheel and getting it cleaned out. Plus we were sick the week before we left and the condition of our house isn't good. Everything's a bit messy so no pictures of what we've been doing, but here's a photo from last year's trip to Washington. Yes, this is their view. Never a dull moment! Again I t...
Where's Blue Bird?: February 2012
http://wheresbluebird.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 29, 2012. Wow, Feburary is gone! Well, Ray's back is out today and I need to finish up a few last minute touches on the door prize baskets for the quilt show, so it seems like a good stay at home day. Plus, now I have to do the cooking - hehe. But before I get to those baskets (see I'm getting side tracked) I wanted to post a couple of pic of the owl's nest - amazing! Check out this cliff next to the road. Look closer at the crack. Saturday, February 4, 2012. San Diego, etc. We found ...

The Little House on the Table
The Little House on the Table. Friday, 7 August 2015. Tuesday, 4 August 2015. I peeked into the little Queen Anne house this morning and there had been a special delivery, lots and lots of beautiful fresh flowers. Every vase, jug and watering can seems to be filled with irises, pansies, lilies and tulips don't they look beautiful. More furniture has arrived and it seems that special treasures are being unpacked, but who, I wonder could have sent so many lovely flowers? They even fill the bedroom. Lilies ...

The Little House Out Back
Sunday, August 9, 2015. Watercolor and Mixed Media. These are the watercolors I still can't believe I did for our craft swap. I really like how they turned out. I stenciled these glassine bags to wrap them in. I also stenciled a shadow-like image on each one. There was a lot of ink left on the stencil, so I pressed it onto white cardstock and will use the prints for future projects. The craft swap was a lot of fun and I received some wonderful art in return. Links to this post. Tuesday, July 28, 2015.
