Monday, November 14, 2011. Bay Area Discovery Museum. I am remiss in posting our Halloween pictures. Emma was a bumblebee and Ethan was a skunk. Will have to post those soon. In the meantime, here are some pictures from the Bay Area Discovery Museum. Other than his cold, Ethan is doing well. He went to his 4 month check up recently and weighed in at a hefty 16.2 lbs and was in the 90th percentile for height. The nurse who first saw him thought he was there for a 6 month checkup! Monday, October 24, 2011. Happy 100th Day, Ethan! Ethan turned 100 days old on October 16, 2011. Just like his older sister. Ethan had a Red Egg and Ginger/100 Day party. This time, the party was held at a Korean restaurant in the Central Valley. The Red Egg and Ginger part celebrated Ethan's Chinese heritage, while the 100 Day part celebrated his Korean side. Next time I will make the neck two rows longer and the leaf top a bit smaller. I may also experiment with a different increase technique. The knit front and back looks a little lumpy but that might be because I didn't stuff this guy very full. I cast on stitches for the underarms, moved the arm stitches off my needles and onto scrap yarn, and started with the white yarn. Not much knitting happened over our 4th of July travels. I just progressed a little through the band of white. Over the past week, I worked the tiny. Stripes and was able to bind off the bottom edge. Hooray, a vest! So, here goes one arm.
