Chaos and Boredom

Wednesday, October 14, 2009. The students ruined a fun project I had planned. Then a girl decides to get up during class and kill a spider across the room. I also threw a tantrum of my own by crumpling up the paper for the project and throwing it away. I also ended up confusing them when I tried to explain the quantum numbers. Ugh! I've also had a headache for a while now. Woooooohoooooo. I did go on an impromptu date with my boyfriend. It was tons of fun! The movie Couple Retreat was pretty funny. I nev...

Chaos and Boredom: Work: hell with a meditation garden

http://www.thelivingclassroom.blogspot.com/2009/10/work-hell-with-meditation-garden_07.html

Wednesday, October 7, 2009. Work: hell with a meditation garden. It's just for those few hours I'm alone. I'm never alone anymore. It gives me time to reflect. It's like my own meditation garden but with stupid people. If only I could get rid of the customers and maybe get a radio. Maybe when I finish this student teaching I'll have time to hang out with them. I hope so anyways. October 7, 2009 at 3:43 PM. I wish you could ride with us too! I wouldnt have to listen to my ipod the whole time. ;).

Chaos and Boredom: R-E-S-P-E-C-T

http://www.thelivingclassroom.blogspot.com/2009/10/r-e-s-p-e-c-t.html

Thursday, October 1, 2009. What is wrong with people these days? Kids are cussing out principals and parents are backing them up? However, I give a kid a 90 on a stupid project and all of a sudden I've found myself in a meeting at the vice principal's office with my supervising teacher, assistant principal, and the parent who doesn't understand why her child didn't get 6 extra points. Did I mention the whole she already has an A thing? You couldn't just average the mass of 10 pennies? Travel template&#46...

Chaos and Boredom: Grading: Projects

http://www.thelivingclassroom.blogspot.com/2009/10/grading-projects.html

Saturday, October 3, 2009. First, let me apologize for yesterday's post. Looking back, I was pretty upset and used really poor grammar. Sorry about the misspellings too. Now onto today's post. I remember why I chose this career, helping someone move forward and maybe even alter their life, yet each day I question myself. Maybe it's a good thing. or maybe I should re-think grad school. October 4, 2009 at 7:02 AM. And the end results were not what I had hoped for. I hate projects! October 4, 2009 at 7:57 AM.

Chaos and Boredom: September 2009

http://www.thelivingclassroom.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html

Sunday, September 6, 2009. Late Work is Minus 15. Ok I deserve a F. How dare I not blog! However, like in any classroom setting, I would like to give an excuse for my late work. I went to work at 10 AM and didn't get off until 7. Still plenty of time to blog right? Friday, September 4, 2009. Grading Tests = A Whole Roll of Tums. So what's more disappointing then taking a test and failing? Thursday, September 3, 2009. Ya'll are so smart! A girl in the group looked at me and asked 'Are you being serious?

The unDaily Daven: Black Friday

http://thebookishbrunette.blogspot.com/2012/11/black-friday.html

Friday, November 23, 2012. We finally put our Christmas tree up today. After reading several Facebook posts it seems like we are the last people to do this which is crazy! Since when did people start putting trees and lights up on November 1st? I had help with the tree; Ella was VERY excited about all the decorations and even tried her hand at decorating the tree with ribbon. Take a look, she may have a future in it. The unDaily Daven: 4 Month Checkup

http://thebookishbrunette.blogspot.com/2011/03/4-month-checkup.html

Monday, March 21, 2011. Today is my first day of Spring Break and to celebrate I took Ella to her 4 month checkup! I was actually excited to go to see how big she has gotten and to ask our doctor a ton of questions. Her appointment was a bit overdue because we had to reschedule 3 times! We went straight to Target and bought some squash, peaches, mangos, prunes, and bananas. I can't decide what to start first! I almost bought these:. Speaking of pictures, (from earlier) here's some of our St. Patrick'...

The unDaily Daven: October 2010

http://thebookishbrunette.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

Saturday, October 23, 2010. So, I am 38 weeks officially today! I feel so large and uncomfortable. I'm so tired and if I walk around too much my legs get tired. Sitting is a chore and if I lay on the floor, good luck getting me back up. I'm so ready for her to be here already! Then I go on the Babycenter.com board, which I really shouldn't even look at. I have definitely developed a complex by reading some of those posts because they give you so much to worry about! What kind of cupcakes are you making?

The unDaily Daven: November 2010

http://thebookishbrunette.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html

Wednesday, November 17, 2010. I was finally able to meet with the lactation consultant today and of course Ella would latch and act PERFECTLY for her! She kept saying how great it looked and how she was just doing wonderfully and of course it didn't feel excruciating as it does at home. Of course. Then when I feed her at home it really doesn't feel quite so bad buuuut she ends up getting hungry again in like 45 minutes! Posted by The Bookish Brunette. Tuesday, November 16, 2010. The unDaily Daven: 9 Months Old!

http://thebookishbrunette.blogspot.com/2011/08/9-months-old.html

Friday, August 5, 2011. Ella turned 9 months old today! I tried to take some pictures this morning to commemorate the occasion before we headed off for daycare but she was quite displeased with the whole ordeal. But then she started to warm up to the idea. We bought her some shoes while in Houston the other day and these cute flip flops were the last pair at Old Navy. She wasn't too sure about these but they lasted on her feet for all of 45 seconds. Until then, Happy 9 Month Birthday. Texas, United States.

The unDaily Daven: July 2011

http://thebookishbrunette.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html

Sunday, July 31, 2011. We have no idea. I tried to take some photos while she had her mouth open but the results were inconclusive. If this isn't teething I don't know what it is, but seriously, they need to come in already! But even is she doesn't I'm okay with that. This summer has gone by so quickly. Spending time at home with Ella has been so great, for the most part anyway! Oh well, take a look. I still rather like it. Posted by The Bookish Brunette. Saturday, July 30, 2011. http://thebookishbrunette.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Monday, March 21, 2011. So squash, rice, and just plain eating from a spoon did not go over well. We were not a fan, although we did enjoy our highchair at first and having daddy talk to us. http://thebookishbrunette.blogspot.com/2011/07/mum-mums.html

Saturday, July 30, 2011. So Mum-Mum's were brought into our lives yesterday! Grandma brought them for Ella to try and the verdict is in.she loves them! They are a bit messy and sticky and almost disgusting to look at when they are all mushy and dissolving on her hands, arms and clothes.not to mention my hands, arms and clothes; but she likes them so that's kind of all that matters.
