the green turkeys: the lamb (cake) of god
http://green-turkeys.blogspot.com/2009/04/lamb-cake-of-god.html
Tuesday, April 14, 2009. The lamb (cake) of god. Melissa and I hosted our very first holiday get-together on Sunday. That's a big deal - there is a lot of pressure to not screw things up, especially when 15 people show up! Yes that's right, it's a pound cake in the shape of a lamb with candy eyes and coconut fur and Easter in the Turney household would not be the same without it. He is unquestionably the hardest-working lamb cake in the history of lamb cakes. . . . So that was lamb cake 2008, which bring...

81 Seconds of Babbling: The Hitching
http://81secondsofbabbling.blogspot.com/2009/07/hitching.html
81 Seconds of Babbling. Sunday, July 26, 2009. First of all, I just got done talking to Clayton and Kristen to tell them happy 1 year. Then got on here and saw Clayton's comment. So here's your shoutout:. Clayton and Kristen have been married for one year, and sources tell me that their marriage has been consumated for approximately one year and 34 minutes as of the time of this posting. What I am remember most of the wedding was the last image: Eddie doing a burnout in his camaro (sp?

Sunday, March 1, 2009. If i was a better blogger, you'd already know this. . . So as you may have noticed, I'm pretty bad at keeping up with this thing. Some pretty big things have happened in the past month and a half and here are the top ten things that have happened to me since the last time I blogged. . . 1 Our new President was innauggerrated? 2 I got fired - I mean, "laid off". It sounds so much nicer and so much not-my-fault-er when you say it that way. . . 8 I got a new job at Agape Corner School...

81 Seconds of Babbling: Lethal Weapon
http://81secondsofbabbling.blogspot.com/2009/08/lethal-weapon.html
81 Seconds of Babbling. Wednesday, August 26, 2009. I just watched Lethal Weapon 1, which I thought was supposed to be a comedy. It is not. One not so funny scene (watching Mel Gibson get electrocuted). It got me thinking that there is an inordinate amount of Mel Gibson movies involving him getting tortured, killed or fairly severely beat up:. What Women Want (or whatever the name of it is, where he can hear women's thoughts, which might be the worst kind of torture there is.). What is the point.

81 Seconds of Babbling: Greatness
http://81secondsofbabbling.blogspot.com/2009/06/greatness.html
81 Seconds of Babbling. Friday, June 26, 2009. I was watching Lawrence of Arabia with my father-in-law, and I was thinking about how great what he did was. Then I started thinking about different people who are great, or famous, or accomplish a lot and how much they have to sacrifice to get there. I mean if I am remember correctly even George W. Bush (widely regarded as a "slacker" president) averaged something like 4.5 hours of sleep a night. Got any ideas of an example? June 27, 2009 at 11:17 PM.

81 Seconds of Babbling: Boat Trips
http://81secondsofbabbling.blogspot.com/2009/07/boat-trips.html
81 Seconds of Babbling. Tuesday, July 28, 2009. First of all, I was just getting ready for bed and noticed a door stop / hinge pin that was lying on my chest of drawers. I thought: "That probably doesn't belong there.". All this in under 1 minute. . Observing my surroundings. Remaining calm and formulating a plan under pressure. Willing to compromise. Quickly resolving situations. These are just some of the skills I bring to the table. July 31, 2009 at 11:11 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
