The Logan Mansion, Since 1897
Lafayette Robert Logan, a very successful ice manufacturer and beer distributor, built the Logan Mansion in 1897. It is the grandest surviving work of Nathaniel Sykes Allen (1829-1922), Shreveport's premier late-nineteenth century architect. His party was at My Gym, a high energy fun filled venue that keeps all the kiddos engaged and excited. Logan was the center of attention and loved all the activities, especially the zip line and the trampoline. We had so many wonderful friends and their children come to celebrate Logan. The Logan Family
The Logan Family Web site is maintained by the descendants of Nathaniel Logan and his wife Nancy Craig. Nathaniel and Nancy left Antrim, Northern Ireland in the early 1800's. Nathaniel Logan died in July of 1870 and his wife Nancy died in November of 1875. Nathaniel and Nancy are buried in the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery along with their daughter Margaret who died in 1915. Contact us at brian@thelogans.com.
