The Vagrant Gypsy Life. We're not gypsies . . . but sometimes we feel like vagrants. July 8, 2013 in Bronwyn. In case the last post made anyone feel sorry for us, you should know that the children and I are at my parents’ place in SC for a few weeks. We’re having a wonderful summer. I DO feel sorry for Gabriel who has to be far away from his family and spend every day for a month in a place he’d rather not see again. Email New Posts To Me. Join 92 other followers. https://thelongtrick.wordpress.com/2014/10/06/perspective
The Vagrant Gypsy Life. We're not gypsies . . . but sometimes we feel like vagrants. October 6, 2014 in Uncategorized. When Bronwyn was about two months old, we took her on a road trip south to see my family. Before this, Gabriel and I liked taking road trips together. Chatting, listening to audio books or music, he teaching me how to drive a standard transmission–it was all good fun. And that is what a change in perspective can do. Email New Posts To Me. A Big Disappointment | The Vagrant Gypsy Life
https://thelongtrick.wordpress.com/2013/07/02/a-big-disappointment
The Vagrant Gypsy Life. We're not gypsies . . . but sometimes we feel like vagrants. July 2, 2013 in School. This update has been hanging over my head for a month, waiting to be written. I know a lot of you already know this turn of events, but I wanted to update those who hadn’t heard. Unfortunately, Gabriel failed two of his final exams this spring. This means he did not graduate as a vet and will not be able to work as a vet until he passes those exams. Why not take them while he’s there in July?

The Vagrant Gypsy Life. We're not gypsies . . . but sometimes we feel like vagrants. Look Who Passed the NAVLE. May 14, 2013 in School. I made him pose on his way out the door this morning. (The exam today was a mock consultation of a small animal, which requires formal dress.) That’s a relieved, ecstatic, over-the-moon grin. Two more exams tomorrow, and then he’s done, Lord willing. Calling… – Living Dangerous
https://wingedfaith.wordpress.com/2014/08/17/calling
Winging it by faith, risking it all for Him. August 17, 2014. August 17, 2014. I have the heaviest of hearts. I have heard from God. Some may not believe me, some may question me, but in my heart of hearts I know it was God. I am hesitant to even write this because even as I am confident, I always shy away from throwing God’s name on things for fear of using His name in vain. I never want to claim His Word carelessly or recklessly. But I know He spoke to me. It was not what I thought. I thought I knew.

The Election – Living Dangerous
https://wingedfaith.wordpress.com/2016/10/18/the-election
Winging it by faith, risking it all for Him. October 18, 2016. October 19, 2016. Yep another opinion on the election. In only a couple weeks our nation will vote on a new leader. I have heard and read so many differing opinions on this I think my eyes are going to start bleeding soon. There are a lot of emotions running wild. I understand why. I do. Politics then has had little appeal to me, add in all the mud-slinging and the lying, and my distaste for it has only grown. That’s what we want, right?
life. it happens. – Living Dangerous

Winging it by faith, risking it all for Him. July 31, 2014. October 19, 2016. I cannot believe how time has flown. Many have asked me about my house and I can honestly say I still love it. Still so overwhelmed by all the many of you who have given so generously to me. Never have I felt so supported. And boy have I needed it. Real quick here is the latest upgrade on this ever changing home:. One year ago this was the state of the outside of the house. And then it started to change. I have a foster daughter.
Answered Prayers – Living Dangerous
https://wingedfaith.wordpress.com/2014/08/22/answered-prayers
Winging it by faith, risking it all for Him. August 22, 2014. If you don’t believe in God you have my sympathies. Because He is the DEFINITION of AWESOME. A mere week ago I was in the depth of something so hard I could not see a way out. I pleaded with you all for your prayers. I was inundated with words of encouragement and prayers. I felt those prayers in my spirit. I was no longer on the brink of depression, yet my situation remained the same. They say it is darkest before the dawn. I get it now.

Euro S’mores

The Intersection of Design and Motherhood. October 3, 2012. I know. I know. S’mores are for camping. And summertime! But I crave them in the fall when I’m feeling cozy. (Am I the only one? I was craving them yesterday, so we bought supplies to make a Euro version. Of course, they aren’t. The combination of flavors from my childhood. But they are super yummy. For any of you who are curious, here’s how we do away-from-home s’mores. We use a Belgian cookie called Speculoos. What did you come up with? Ultra ...

The Long Trail Back
The Long Trail Back. Sunday, 15 May 2011. Will I Run Again? It's So Far Away. It is now 26 weeks since my knee was drilled to pieces by a couple of doctors who carried out a procedure with no warning or discussion of what they were about to do. Do I sound bitter? I have got a knee that is, after 6 months, in constant pain and I couldn't run 10 yards if my life depended on it! After the surgery, I was told that I would possibly. That is what has certainly happened to me and I am very bitter at the service...
