My Study Abroad Experience in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Monday, May 9, 2011. Last week five of us decided to spend the day taking a cooking class! We were picked up from the dorms and driven to a local market for a tour of the various foods we would be using later on. We were able to make 5 different dishes from a total of about 20. My Study Abroad Experience in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Friday, May 6, 2011. Goat Curry, Chickpea Salad, Rotee (basically naan), Sugarless Doughnut, Burmese Tea. View of more breakfast foods: Samosas, and other pastries. Deep Fried Shan Tofu. Potato and Chicken Curry. Pumpkin and Cashew Dish. Burmese food is delicious! My Study Abroad Experience in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Saturday, February 26, 2011. The Longneck village was amazing! The mud spa was the same one we saw yesterday, so our guide showed us where the mud actually comes from, which was pretty cool. The waterfall was so beautiful, although not in full spirit because it is low season. The fish cave was really just a pond with some huge fish in it. My Study Abroad Experience in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Sunday, May 22, 2011. At the Grand Palace. The Real Jade Buddha. Chilling with a Grand Palace Guard. Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho. It was HUGE. Wat Arun. It sparkles when the sun hits it just right. From the water taxi going from Wat Arun back to our guest house. We also did the floating market, which was really interesting. It was really crowed with boats, as you would assume, but it was so fun seeing so many faces and products. May 23, 2011 at 10:56 PM.
