Hello summer - somewhere over the rainbow

Somewhere over the rainbow. Adventures in teaching, crafting, and cooking. May 11th, 2010 at 8:19 PM. Last Thursday was the last day of school for Kindergarten! My kids were terrible all day, but they still gave me hugs before they got on the bus and I was sad to see them go. Friday was graduation which wasn't too painful, and all the kids got their bikes at the end. Just as promised, Kindergartners were riding around the hallways during lunch :). The list: 101 in 1001. And overall, the kids were great today. They even did the groups of ten worksheet exactly how I asked them to. Because I'm cool like that. The adventures of a knitter in Tucson, AZ. Saturday, February 25, 2006. The end is near. But not near enough. I just finished row 149 of the shawl. That means 706 stitches on the needles. I have 26 rows left. But the time I get to row 163, there will be 762 stitches on the needles. Then 12 rows of garter stitch. Can you beleive that I sarted by casting on 74 stitches? Hopefully I will finish it in the next week or so. I need to finish all my WIPs by June. 8 Days and Counting.

Up close, he kinda looks like a monkey, you know, the kind they used to use in psych expirements. I knit him a blanket, a pair of booties, and a hat. Actualy, I knit him two hats. I am really enjoying this whole not-going-to-school anymore thing, but it is still scary. Now, a part of me is just saying, "hey, you are on Winter Break. Enjoy it" and I really am.
