For a brief few moments the West glimpsed the light. The fashion life-span of garments was shortening, the quantity was going up and the quality was going down, but they had not yet become boring. Mass production was narrowing the range of colours but they had not died yet they were going out in a blaze of glory.

The last shop closed in 1997 around the corner in Grenfell Street. It was packed with authentic vintage, antique and cheap fun clothes and accessories. Around a third were men's. The collection's 1800's clothes and accessories are almost all Victorian and mostly towards the turn of the century.
