The Big, Brown Lawn: October 2012
http://bigbrownlawn.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
The Big, Brown Lawn. It might just be why we are here. Monday, October 01, 2012. My response to the woman leaving Dos Coyotes on Saturday who asked with a smile, "Is it Halloween already? One day is not enough for costumes! I grinned, spreading the joy. When we got back the kids jumped on the swings and flew. This past weekend I realized how I miss our hammock. I need it. Darn squirrels, nibble, nibble. Nevermind, I told myself I would write in the positive. I told the kids I needed a few minutes to do s...

The Big, Brown Lawn: November 2012
http://bigbrownlawn.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
The Big, Brown Lawn. It might just be why we are here. Saturday, November 10, 2012. Yesterday we got up, packed our bags, ate breakfast with Daddy, and then took off on our mini-vacation getaway. The kids and I on our way. Today we set out on an adventure. We drove west and as Grandma said, "We're almost at the ocean." It was decided. Our "NOW" was the ocean. Nothing would stop us. The wind? Mommy follow Mason's footprints," Ellie called. Hair by Windy Day. Hangin' with my bro. Sand stuck to your feet?

The Big, Brown Lawn: September 2012

The Big, Brown Lawn. It might just be why we are here. Monday, September 24, 2012. When I miss the opportunities to write, I try to hold onto that feeling, relive it in my mind, let it dance and play and stay a while in hopes that even if I can't go back and reread the words I chose to capture it, or gaze at the amateur photo I took, I can call it back to mind again. We love to buy flowers at the farmer's market. Ellie insists on putting them in her room. First day of Kindergarten, my boy is all grown up!

The Big, Brown Lawn. It might just be why we are here. Tuesday, August 05, 2014. I Don't Need Anything That I Don't Have". I just discovered this unfinished draft.it was inspired by hearing the Glen Phillips song "I Don't Need Anything That I Don't Have" one night while making dinner. I think I will share it in its unfinished state. PS I am still practicing with my new camera and will share some pics soon. I Don't Need Anything That I Don't Have". Baby chicks are fun to hold. Mental Monsters: Twilight
http://mentalmonsters.blogspot.com/2008/01/twilight.html
Sunday, January 27, 2008. Remember in my last post, when I said that we were going to discuss the sexy vampire plot device, and how it has been done (both well and poorly) enough to last even the most ardent blood-sucking enthusiast a lifetime? The time, my friends, for that discussion has now arrived. But I just can't stay away from you! If you love me, then leave me alone! I'm no good for you, Baby. He's like a lightly vampire-scented, slightly broodier Clay Aiken, for God's sake! I believe that the au...

The Big, Brown Lawn: "Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow" Christmas in Idaho Part 1
http://bigbrownlawn.blogspot.com/2014/12/let-it-snow-let-it-snow-let-it-snow.html
The Big, Brown Lawn. It might just be why we are here. Sunday, December 28, 2014. Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow" Christmas in Idaho Part 1. I woke up yesterday and peeked out the guest bedroom window to find blankets of white snuggling the trees and land. As I crept out into the dark living room I turned on the Christmas lights and peered out the front windows. The light on the lower garage revealed the falling snow that I couldn't spy from the bedroom window. The long awaited SNOW Day was here!

The Lindsay Chronicles: Tava's Wrath
http://justinlindsay.blogspot.com/2009/06/tavas-wrath.html
One Couple's Stumblings Through Parenthood and Marriage. Wednesday, June 17, 2009. Our most recent trip to Discovery Kingdom included my folks, who were due for a day of fun with the grandkids. But all was not well at Discovery Kingdom. See how the trainer holds the fruit aloft, just out of reach of Tava's grasping trunk? Well, Tava had had enough. But it's to no avail! The elephant will not be soothed! She grips the handler in her trunk and begins to squeeze. It is horrible! Oh the workman's comp claims!
