Monday, August 10. Orlando and i were talking in bed the other night, trying to make sense of the myriad of decisions we have to make in the coming weeks, and it hit me that my own parents must have done this exact thing hundreds of times- whispered worries in the dark, trying to figure out the best thing while not waking the kids. I have faith. i am learning patience. i love my stewardship over my little family, i can't think of anything better to lay awake at night working about. A day in the life.

Monday, July 27. We are two weeks in to our 'letter of the week' adventure and i have to say, it's so much fun! I have been really thrilled with how well luc is picking up on the letters and sounds, despite his refusal to learn to write them. that'll come eventually, i reminded myself. and then on saturday, while playing with chalk at our friends' house, he hollered 'look mom, look mom!
