http://windsor-detroit-film.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 26, 2015. A post war identity crisis. Christian Petzold’s Phoenix. Opening Friday at The. 8221; This may sound funny but in the film's context it’s really not. But it does make you want to give old Johnny a shake since Nelly’s facial reconstruction and mannerisms are close enough to what she used to look and be like. Or, more practically, to have Nelly. About an East Germany physician - which has more complexity and is a more satisfying picture. Links to this post. 1932, Norman Z. M...

Windsor Detroit Film: Starting to feel like the dog days
http://windsor-detroit-film.blogspot.com/2015/07/starting-to-feel-like-dog-days.html
Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Starting to feel like the dog days. It’s mid-July. There hasn’t been a whole lot in the cinemas. Not quite the dog days but… So I turn to Netflix. Which still amazes me in that I can switch on my tablet and watch a film. How luxuriously convenient in the early 21st century….But it’s been a pretty mixed bag in terms of what I’ve seen. Barefoot in the Park. The Art of Getting By. More Netflix films, unless there’s something else to write about, in the next post….

Windsor Detroit Film: May 2015
http://windsor-detroit-film.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 31, 2015. One weekend, three movies. For the first time in months I got out my tablet and scrolled through Netflix. Yet the film transcends this unbelievability to serve up a lesson on the superficiality of false obsession….Then it was the two French films….The first (French-Swiss), Love is the Perfect Crime. Links to this post. Thursday, May 21, 2015. Deneuve stars in stylish French thriller. In the Name of My Daughter. Opening Friday at the Landmark Main Art Theatre. Links to this post.

Windsor Detroit Film: Bobos in neurotic paradise
http://windsor-detroit-film.blogspot.com/2015/06/bobos-in-neurotic-paradise.html
Wednesday, June 17, 2015. Bobos in neurotic paradise. Sometimes a movie takes itself just a little too seriously. Such is the case with Last Weekend. Tom Dolby and Tom Williams’s 2014 film starring the versatile Patricia Clarkson, on Netflix. Mark Raso’s 2014 film (on Netflix. Is kind of like the Richard Linklater romantic Before. Has an awesome soundtrack featuring Danish artists with an otherworldly techno edge. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Windsor Intl Film Festival.
