Saturday, May 31, 2014. Back in August of last year, we started the transformation of Trevor’s room. He had been in a toddler bed for awhile and it was time for a change. However, I was struggling to find a bed for him because I knew I wouldn’t be able to find wood that matched. I decided to look for a twin bed frame on Craigslist and then paint it blue. Thankfully I found a great deal on one and went to painting. He was pretty excited with his new twin bed and ready to sleep in it. More pics from NYC.

The Reason I’m Running*. Tips and observations from a first-time marathon runner in Seattle, Washington. At it again …. First training run for the New York City Marathon. Today’s plan called for four miles at a regular pace. Headed into Central Park via the 72nd street entrance and headed north. Circled around the reservoir then raced back out to 5th Avenue, which was four miles. Here we go again! I think I might do one more marathon. Shit. This is how it starts. Near the beginning of this project I went to Alaska on a medical escort that flew directly over New Orleans about twenty-four hours after the arrival of Hurricane Katrina. Makes mention of the Good Friday earthquake that struck Anchorage in 1964, but it says nothing of the human catastrophe that was unfolding directly below us.
