Humming with unseen life. I serve as a houseparent in Savannah, Georgia at Bethesda Academy, a school and home for boys. My wife and I live with 9 teenage boys from 8-10th grade. Every night is different but rarely boring. I served for three years as a Methodist pastor and am currently on a leave of absence while discerning where I belong in full-time pastoral ministry. After a few minutes, I told the student (lets call him Chancey) to stop talking about it because he had gotten enough glory from such an ill-conceived act. 8221; Where did that come from? An interesting concept for sure. I walked into the dining hall later that night for dinner. Story time! Apparently, I needed my moment in the spotlight too. Especially if there are some poor people to make convenient charity cases.
