http://crowell5.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 4, 2009. Saturday, May 2, 2009. No School For Another Week! Yes, that's right, under the recommendation of the Texas Dept of Health, we have no school. At this point, I think more schools in the San Antonio. Area are closed than open. Kids are thrilled. But I have a few concerns. I know they are worried about the spread of the virus. However, the kids are heading back after two weeks off, straight into TAKS. For those unfamiliar with TAKS. It's Texas' version of torture for students. In a lot...

Crowell Family Musings: November 2008
http://crowell5.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 29, 2008. This girls turned 7 the weekend before Thanksgiving. I tried my hand at cake decorating. We usually buy from the store, but I decided to go the old fashioned route, just like Mom did. Meghan doesn't like chocolate (not sure if she's mine), so hers is a yellow cake decorated with skittles. Kiersten, of course, loves the chocolate! So that's what she got, with M&Ms on top! We got home so late from the movie and dinner, the girls had to open presents in thier PJs. This time we t...

http://crowell5.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 31, 2008. Tuesday, July 29, 2008. After looking at Lanna's and Monica's blogs, I figured I'd attempt this. I'm not real sure it will be as interesting as either of theirs, but here goes:. 4 things I was doing 10 years ago:. 1 Getting used to the exciting and terrifying realization that I was now a mom- Zach was born in May. 2 Brian, Zach and I were sealed in the St. Louis temple. 4 Moved from Colorado Springs (Air Force Academy) to Northern California (Beale Air Force Base). 1 Moved to LA.

Crowell Family Musings: Zach's birthday
http://crowell5.blogspot.com/2009/07/zachs-birthday.html
Wednesday, July 22, 2009. Since we were still on "Flu-cation" (due to the swine flu) on Zach's birthday, I took my kids and three neighbor kids to Houston to visit the Nasa Space Center. I think they had a great time. A little perspective on the size of the space shuttle! I'm not sure Kiersten wanted to be in this picture. lol. Zach just chillin in a rocket exhaust. We are at THE Mission Control- I think I was the only one who thought this was cool! My other sweetie, Kiersten. The birthday boy, Zach.

Crowell Family Musings: December 2008
http://crowell5.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 10, 2008. I know this is a pitiful amount of frost/snow compared to those in other parts of the country. But I didn't think it snowed in Texas! Tuesday, December 9, 2008. This is my absolute favorite. Time of the year! I love decorating (as displayed), I love the music, I love the spirit and, unfortunately, I LOVE. Will come, but they will only get one present from us this year. I was amazed at how well they took it! Isn't that what Christmas. We need to learn more from children!

Saturday, April 11, 2009. Ensuring we inundate ourselves in Texas. We attended the Poteet Strawberry Festival. Last weekend. It proved to be everything we had hoped it would be! Since our entire family absolutely loves Strawberries. There was actually a point we worried Zach might turn into one) this was incredibly fun! They had everything strawberry, from chocolate covered to strawberry nachos. Along with anything and everything Texan. What kind of Texans. Was 8 feet long- no thank you!

Crowell Family Musings: TEA Party
http://crowell5.blogspot.com/2009/04/tea-party.html
Thursday, April 16, 2009. On tax day, I attended San Antonio's TEA Party. It was quite an event! I have to admit that I was drawn in by the celebreties as much as I was the cause. (Yes, I know that's pitiful! Glen Beck and Ted Nugent were at this TEA Party. Ted Nugent did some incredible renditions of the National Anthem on his guitar. And Glen Beck, true to form, tried to make it a bipartisan event. (Although it clearly wasn't) I enjoyed what he had to say. May 4, 2009 at 11:55 AM. Swine Flu in Texas!
