Attraction Overview

Clicking inside the text box of the Overview, Script, or Theory of Operations will open up a "Pad" that allows for easier reading. These are used in many places. They are resizable (as are most of the pages) and scrollable if there becomes more text than will fit on the page. This is approximately a full sized view of the page. Whenever you select an attraction from the home page list, you are brought to this page. If you don't have editing permission, this is as far as you get within the attraction.

The record hierarchy starts with Project, followed by Attraction, then Area (These could be scenes, room numbers or locations, depending on what type of a job you are doing), then Elements. Each Attraction also ties to the Drawings and Shipping records. Each Element also ties to Facility Impact and a few other tables.

Project Overview

This is where you store copies of all the current documents used site-wide. You can store the original document such as a word document, and a read only copy such as a PDF. You can store Attraction specific documents or any other type you want to as well. I normally set up the categories as Vendor, GC, Internal, Attraction but its really up to you. Requirements

This database is built on the Filemaker Pro platform and is designed to work best on version 13 (current version) or higher. Filemaker Pro runs on both PCs and Macs. The Filemaker program must be purchased separately from the Themed Design Software. A copy of the database can be uploaded to an iPad or the iPad can connect to the server to use the live data. For iPads, Filemaker Go 13 is the only recommended version. It is a free download from the iTunes App Store.

Area Scene Overview

Your view now includes metadata about the scene (in this case). The Overview, Guest Experience, Function and Description texts all open up into pads. From the view side you can't edit the open pads though. You can also click on a picture to pull up a resizable artwork pad. This is the same editing strategy shown in Projects and Attractions.
