The World I Know: October 2010
http://thehouseofnexttuesday.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 19, 2010. So We're waiting for the Propane man to come when I hear this big BANG! From downstairs. It was such a big BANG! So then the Propane man comes in the midst of this life and death struggle. We still had 30lbs of propane, but they had 'pulled our pigtail' connector so we couldn't use it- they wanted money first! This guy comes and fills up the tank and is ready to leave. He sees us under the deck with the quail, me in my bathrobe and stethoscope, and says, "Whatcha got there?

The World I Know: December 2009
http://thehouseofnexttuesday.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 3, 2009. INTERVIEW WITH A FEMALE SOLDIER. When you joined the Army in the early '70s, you took an oath to die for your country. Did you ever find yourself in a situation where you felt you may have to make good on that oath? I think the closest I came to dying for my country was getting lost in the woods in Basic Training, climbing up a big sand dune (quite out of place in a forest but I saw it only as a good look-out point) and being faced with 20 loaded M-16's aimed in my direction.

Then round up the ones who had laughed harder each time you crashed, told you you'd never get over it, you were wasting your time, 'give up already, how stupid ARE you? Take them out for a beer to thank them for being truthful. Had you listened earlier, you would not have a broken nose or broken ribs and a purple face. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The World I Know: Voting Expedition

Wednesday, April 28, 2010. I say, "I want whichever one it is that lets me know I sent it." She looks at me again and says, "Do you want a receipt? I do not respond. "Do you want a stub? I stopped at the first table where a smiling lady sat with an enormous book in front of her. 'Do I need to see you? Sound, and needed assistance getting out of the cubicle because I'd somehow become wrapped up in the curtain. Let me help you! At which time I dropped my ballot into the slot. What a freaking idiot. I walke...

The World I Know: January 2011
http://thehouseofnexttuesday.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 1, 2011. When I close my eyes forever. Will the nightmares stay behind? Or will the memories follow me,. The secrets in my mind. I'm so sorry that I left you. I just couldn't stay like this. Each day the blame and sorrow grows. Yet there's love in every kiss. I'll never really leave you. In your heart I'll always stay. As long as you hold on to me. I won't be far away. And anytime you need me. You'll feel me hold your hand. For you will always be my child. Inside of that young man.

The World I Know: March 2010
http://thehouseofnexttuesday.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 9, 2010. Isn't it time to take a closer look at the Obituary Page? How long has it been since an 'example' was designed to use as an outline, as well as suggesting the various points of info to include therein? The times they are a-changin' and it's about time we updated this section that everyone, sooner or later, will read with increasing frequency, write at one time or another, and eventually BE the star of one. A note on what NOT to put in an obit- the address of the deceased!

Thursday, May 28, 2009. ATTACK OF THE MUTANT FAN. While waving my arms in a violent display, and instinctively pulled forward to counteract whatever was pulling me backward in order to keep my balance (I had not yet determined what had hold of me, thus I was also dealing with a fear factor). I then hear a big THUMP! Never finishing any one sentence, as I was so aghast. So, in this time of summer heat, I warn you all: BEWARE OF YOUR OSCILLATING FANS! They'll try to grab you when you least expect it! I say...

The World I Know: Things That Piss Me Off
http://thehouseofnexttuesday.blogspot.com/2010/04/things-that-piss-me-off.html
Saturday, April 16, 2011. Things That Piss Me Off. Having to dig down inside a so-called 'pop-up' tissue box that was obviously failing to function properly whilest holding back a sneeze. Losing a sneeze because I had to dig for a tissue in a failed pop-up box. Online cosmetics without thumbprint colors and names like: 'cupcake, sassy, flirt, photo op, focus, debut.' POOP would at least give you a general idea. Cellophane sticking to my fingers due to static electricity- I HATE that!
