All of our work is fully custom. We do not carry stock – each piece is handcrafted of your choice of wood. Every piece is created by Ian Stewart, by hand. The designs are based on the sturdy, simple, unadorned furniture of the middle ages seen in portraits and paintings. Beds | The Medieval Woodwright

Beds can be made as either rope or slat beds, as a simple bed frame or as a luxurious four-post bed around which you can drape tapestries for warm, comfortable nights of sleeping in your home or in your pavilion. Additionally, beds break down for easy transport. Rope and slat beds start at $500, and can have headboards and posts from a variety of woods. Rope Beds: Great for camping or for adding a period feel to a room; $500 and up. The basic rope bed, in pieces for travel.
Boxes | The Medieval Woodwright

Boxes can be made in a variety of sizes for nearly any use, from a small box sized to proper protect regalia to a larger box for use as a kitchen box, storage box for clothing or bedding, or something of a specific size. Boxes can be custom made to most specifications. Price will depend on material selection and design choice. Boxes may be bench boxes or can be small boxes to hold spices, regalia or whatever you fancy to put in them. Bench boxes start at $75; other boxes are priced individually.

A variety of tables are available, with or without seating benches. Dining tables are solid, heirloom pieces – heavy, simple, sturdy and built to last for generations. Dining tables start at $500. Trestle tables are simple and break down with ease, and look wonderful in period encampments for many eras. Trestle tables start at $300. Matching benches start at $150. Side table tops start at $40, and are designed to fit over your favorite canvas camp stool. Dining/work tables, prices vary.
