https://thememorytree.wordpress.com/2006/07/15/draft-6-the-imp-the-girl-and-the-memory-tree
Draft #6: The Imp, the Girl, and the Memory Tree. July 15, 2006 at 11:11 am ( Drafts. Have retitled it “The imp, the girl, and the Memory Tree” to match the sequence of the story. Also tidied up a few words, moved up a line or two. Once upon a memory, the village elders would always begin, as they. Their stories under the old tree. It was their tradition, for as long as the elders could remember, to tell stories at that tree. Sometimes there were new stories, and sometimes there were. Homes The imp gave.

ORIGIN early 16th cent.: from legal French burglarie, from burgler…. related to Old French burgier ‘pillage.’. Am IMing with Saigon Tai-tai as I post this. https://thememorytree.wordpress.com/2006/07/14/opening-paragraph-the-boy-the-imp-and-the-memory-tree-was-the-memory-tree
Draft 4: Opening paragraph – The Boy, the Imp, and the Memory Tree (was The Memory Tree). July 14, 2006 at 9:19 pm ( Drafts. I’ve decided to rename the title to “The Boy, the Imp, and the Memory Tree”. Darn but the first paragraph is tough. I’ve been putting it off but here goes:. I decided to start simple and tell the story directly, using a narrative style. So Saigon Tai-tai, what do you think honestly? July 14, 2006 at 9:26 pm. And he suggested a few changes, like to this line “people in this vi...

Combining Drafts #2 and #3. May 6, 2006 at 11:55 am ( Drafts. While Saigon Tai-tai sprouts a new bud. I’m wondering if there’s another way to end the story to Draft #3. In Draft #3 as well as Draft #1. My tendency is to use the “boy outwits imp using riddles” angle. But from Saigon Tai-tai’s Draft #2. While the approach was still “imp gets outwitted”, somehow the outwitting had to do with stories being traded. I wonder if I can build on that to create an ending. Let’s see…how about:. Notify me of new pos...

Joke from a friend. July 25, 2006 at 12:00 am ( Misc. Posts. Friend (whom I called a Closet Comedian) emailed me this, which I thought was quite funny:. 8220;the girl and the mammary tree” …. What did it have? Villagers gathered around the tree to keep a-breast of news. I replied to her, “I’m going to blog this” and also I wanted to share with the mailing list we belonged to, and she. Said Ok. I emphasised “SHE”. July 25, 2006 at 12:07 am. Haha Nice play of words. July 25, 2006 at 12:08 am. You are comme...

Sunday, April 23, 2006. For all you people who haven’t stepped into RP’s new campus, here’s a sneak peek of it. Photos courtesy of Hafiz Firdaus :D. This is the class. Abit bright, lah. This is one of my favourite spots. What I absolutely love about it is,. It’s absolutely covered in glass. So when it’s raining, it feels like it’s coming down on you. But you know you’re safely protected by the glass. And also ‘coz there’s no noise policy! But please do be considerate about people. No, I can’t leave!
eeeethemole: Best of both worlds.
http://whitenatz.blogspot.com/2006/10/best-of-both-worlds.html
Tuesday, October 03, 2006. Best of both worlds. Yesterday the malays in my class started talking about religion. We were torn between deciding what's religiously right and what can be questionably wrong. Some of em want to go out every night, do things they wanna do and party the night away, but at the same time retain their religious roots. They try to get the best of both worlds and find that compromise between what they'd like to do and what they have to do. We'll always make mistakes. Do you read me?

I stopped replying him since ages ago. Yes it's you iays. (i just realised it sounds like ass). You've become the unfortunate victim of my sudden craving to slur sillies. Don't worry, one day if i feel really bad i'll take this post down. But i don't think i'll remember to do that. Just as i was. Shimmy shuffl...

Monday, March 27, 2006. Usually I don’t enjoy the presence of Mirzan. My baby brother) in my room. Because I know he’ll mess something up. But today, as I looked into those huge pair of puppy dog eyes, I just couldn’t say no . The guilt was even stronger when he broke into a heart-warming smile. Coz I always chased him out of my room. I felt guilty, of course. I love this boy to death. But sometimes he can be a real pain-in-the-ass. Natural disaster of the Satar household. So I asked him what was. Posted...

Monday, October 23, 2006. Sitting on the sidelines. Tomorrow’s Hari Raya, but it feels like any normal day. I’m not in the mood, dad’s not in the mood, family’s not in the mood. Or maybe just mirzan is. Bleurgh. Every year it gets duller and duller. But I dunno why, I feel sad for my dad. I miss him la actually, even though he lives under one roof wit me. Our longest dialogue can only last for five minutes, and that’s usually when he passes me my allowance. And it’s usually the same things. Some of em wa...

Sunday, February 19, 2006. A few days ago I received news that my godfather, Bapak, was critically ill in hospital. The doctor asked all family members to come visit. There’s no hope left,. My godparents took care of me since I was a tiny little baby. As we turned into one of the rooms and walked towards Bapak’s bed, I was relieved to see my godmother, Mak, there. She always makes me feel secure, ever since I was little. Although her husband was at the brink of death, she still tried to put a bra...Back ...

Saturday, July 29, 2006. Students' sketchpad - Pokemaid. Posted by natasha @ 11:49 PM. Wednesday, July 26, 2006. Sweet child of mine. I've dissed the boy many times before. I thought he was only sent here to torment me. Now I miss him dearly. He lives in the room next to mine. But I haven't seen him for 3 days. The empowering guilt awaits its trigger for eruption. Or rather, it's already erupted. And it hasn't stopped. I love the boy to death. He's at a stage where a child requires the most tender of care.
