Vickie and Hope originally had their first appointment at the Embassy in Kinshasa on 2 November, 2010 and we all expected that they would be back home well before Thanksgiving- well that just wasn't to be. George and I spent many a frantic day worrying about the four of them in the Congo and doing what we could to help, but they were halfway around the world (literally) and in about 8 different timezones from us.
