http://thisisthewaywegotoschool.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
This is the way we (don't) go to school. Relaxed homeschoolers afraid to call it, "unschooling". Monday, April 4, 2011. Putting the home back in our homeschooling. It all started with me yelling, surprise! Yelling hurry up get ready if you want to play at Karsten's. Hurry up get ready we need to get the playground (yeah I said that) I was yelling a lot and asking the kids rhetotrical questions like, "well do you want to go? Because you sure aren't showing me that you want togo". Time to slow things down.

This is the way we (don't) go to school: We are now reminding kids to play?

This is the way we (don't) go to school. Relaxed homeschoolers afraid to call it, "unschooling". Saturday, August 13, 2011. We are now reminding kids to play? There is a commercial that airs on the radio with a child asking for a dollar from mom's purse. Have you heard it? The mother seemingly can't remember where she put the purse and has the kid running all over the house to look for it. The message? Get creative to get your kids moving. Wait. What? Doesn't play come naturally to kids? That is another w...

This is the way we (don't) go to school. Relaxed homeschoolers afraid to call it, "unschooling". Saturday, January 31, 2009. Well we have a new President. Wait that should be; holy cow! A new era in American history. We have elected a president who is man of color. Alsouh I didn't vote for him. They were prepared that our guy wouldn't win. So I wanted them to understand the importance of this election but I did not want them to think I was happy that he won. Obviously the speech doesn't hold her interest...

This is the way we (don't) go to school: The social experiment needs a change
http://thisisthewaywegotoschool.blogspot.com/2010/10/social-experiment-needs-change.html
This is the way we (don't) go to school. Relaxed homeschoolers afraid to call it, "unschooling". Monday, October 11, 2010. The social experiment needs a change. Oh yes we need reform but not in the form of longer days, stricter classes, harder tests. We do not need more school. We need less. Children need one on one supervision and care. Children need to be heard. Children need to play and they need to wonder and they need to make mistakes. They need adults to guide them and show them right from wrong.
