She wants me to tell the stories of how she and her sisters were born, what I was doing, what I was eating, all the details I can remember. Then she makes me tell them again and again, ad nauseam. I was nodding my head, impressed that Hallie was remembering the story so closely to the way I always told it, almost word for word. What she said next took me by surprise. Those were things that even I ...

Saturday, October 11, 2014. 1 Mile, 31 Miles. Today was the big day. The day we've all been waiting for, for months. Anticipation and anxiety for how the day would go were at fever pitch - the runners were feeling it, the spectators were feeling it. How were we even going to get everyone where they needed to be? I am so proud of my runners. I hope to run with them next year! Hanna will be doing the pumpkin run next year. I can't even believe how big they are all getting. Devin at mile six. I definitely c...

Philise and Zoe: Batman, Cat Woman, and Hello Kitty walk into a church…
http://philise.blogspot.com/2012/10/batman-cat-woman-and-hello-kitty-walk.html
Tuesday, October 30, 2012. Batman, Cat Woman, and Hello Kitty walk into a church…. Grandma Sarver has once again outdone herself with a Halloween costume for Zoe. If you can’t tell, she is Hello Kitty, and very excited about it. Batman and Cat Woman look ready for a battle. Hello Kitty tried to be fearsome but you can see how that turned out. We wished we could find bat wings for Zoe. Is the offspring of Batman and Cat Woman a little batcat? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A Glimpse of Heaven.

Monday, May 27, 2013. Camping with Yogi Bear. I few months ago I came across a living social deal for 2 nights at a Yogi Bear Campground. We were able to work some scheduling magic and shared a site with my parents. We had so much fun and we are very happy we have another voucher we'll be able to use in the fall. The girls set up. Kaitlyn says that she has a sleeping bug, which I think is pretty clever. I bought the giant marshmallows this time and they were fun but hard to eat and very messy! Watering f...

Tuesday, June 17, 2014. Kinsey loves board games. She asks to play a game almost every day. She's pretty good too! Kaitlyn loves board games too. But not as much as she loves to climb tress :). There is a fantastic nature playground in Raleigh. We went with some friends and had such a good time. We can't wait to go back! The girls were invited to a fairy party. They had so much fun getting ready! What our pew looked like one day after sacrament meeting. Playing Uno while I sat on my chair. The Two of Us.

Sunday, March 9, 2014. February brought more snow (! And lots of work on the house. Thankfully the flu left us alone this month! We had a big snowstorm (for here) with about 6 inches of snow. It literally shut the whole area down for a few days. The snow came FAST and many people ended up completely stuck on the roads and had to abandon their cars and walk home. It was crazy! We built a decent snowman! The snow really was beautiful. We were sad that it melted a few days later. Removing the laminate floors.

Dyreng writes the humorous parts just as well as the sad, and shows what true love really requires. The mythical tales are both intriguing and chilling. The Cenote] carries a strong message concerning love and the power of the mind . . . This is a tale of the discovery of deep and lasting love, of lust and jealousy, of emotional infidelity, sacrifice, and the realization of true worth. If you like romantic books with supernatural undertones and solid writing, then this is a book for you. My Book A Day.

Friday, February 28, 2014. You want to get a lot of attention? First, take a shower. Then take three really cute little girls to the mall. Next put a newborn into a Moby and prepare yourself. The hardest part will be not breaking down into a puddle of sobbing post partum tears when the strangers, with admiration in their eyes, keep telling you what a good mom you are. Try to believe them when they say this. Last week I sent this email to some people, soliciting advice. That just got peed on. I'm at a loss.

That's What She Said!: December 2010

That's What She Said! Saturday, December 4, 2010. Jared's new dance moves! Jared loves to play with my iPod Touch and figured out how to play some music today. He must have typed in "L" in the search screen, because it was just playing Linkin Park songs. As soon as the music started, we looked over to see Jared shaking his shoulders and bobbing his head! It was the funniest thing! I didn't quite catch that on video, but I did get a couple of cute clips with him dancing a little bit. Enjoy!

That's What She Said!: June 2012

That's What She Said! Tuesday, June 19, 2012. I'm not even going to pretend like I'll ever catch up from not blogging for an entire year. We'll just start over and I won't lie and say I'll try to do better, because I probably won't! I had to write a post, though, about visiting my grandma in Liberty, KY last week. It was so neat to be able to take my kids and spend time with my grandma doing things I used to do when I was their age! The kids nicknamed my step-grandpa, Poppy Stanley! We also made a tree s...
