The Mundane and Beauteous
My little handmade shop. Thursday, 10 March 2011. From Psalm for the January Thaw. Glory be to God for changes. For bulbs. Breaking the darkness with their green beaks. For moles and moths and velvet green moss. Waiting to fill the driveway cracks. For the way. The sun pierces the window minutes earlier each day. For earthquakes and tectonic plates—earth’s bump. And grind—and new mountains pushing up. Like teeth in a one-year-old. For melodrama—. Lightning on the sky stage, and the burst of applause.

The Mundane and the Crazy
The Mundane and the Crazy. Basically, this blog is to help with a class that I'm taking. This is my first blog, so yeah. I have no idea what I'm doing. Mostly, it'll have insights about engineering, which is awesome. Enjoy. Monday, October 17, 2011. School has been a mixture of extreme frustration and intense learning. I have some top-notch professors this semester, and also some professors whose teaching "styles" make me cringe during every lecture. It's difficult to imagine that an institution ...I Fou...

The Mundane and the Inane
The Mundane and the Inane. You create your own universe as you go along." Winston Churchill. Thursday, May 15, 2014. Exactly Where is Home? For Some Reason, I never posted this. So here it is now. This post is for a very good friend of mine that recently posted about the surreal experience of your parents moving from the place you call "home". This brought to mind how do you to define "home". Saturday, January 21, 2012. Day3: Write about your Family. Day 2: Where would you like to be in 10 years. I am al...

The Mundane and the Music | "music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life"
The Mundane and the Music. Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life. Last year I got to explore some of the heavier repertoire for the mezzo soprano voice and included in this was the aria. From Giuseppe Verdi’s opera. As soon as I listened to the piece and read the story behind it I fell in love with it. The mystical undercurrents in the music and the horror and madness conveyed with the lyrics really spoke to me and I would love to be able to do Azucena on stage for real one day. The G...

The Mundane
Saturday, June 25, 2016. Solidaridad Bookshop Don’t Want Your Business. I just had the unfortunate opportunity to walk into Solidaridad book store, a book shop owned by F. Sionil Jose. I was walking along Padre Faura St. with a friend and we decided to just take a look at what the books were on sale. As we entered, we were immediately told to leave our bags somewhere, not exactly shown where but we have to leave our bags. I suppose they wouldn’t give a damn whether my stuff were damaged as long as ...

The Mundane Comedy | A year in Terza Rima
A year in Terza Rima. Now Is Not The Time For Politics – Scratch! Tags: Now Is Not The Time For Politics. Hello blog followers and whoever else occasionally drifts by. I’m stepping in to taint the poetic purity of The Mundane Comedy with some non iambic prose for a couple of reasons. The event will take place upstairs at The Poetry Cafe and will also feature Dan Simpson scratching his new show. Admission will be free but a hat might be passed around a couple of times. We will also beg you for you...And p...

The Mundane, Continued...
The Mundane, Continued. Wednesday, February 26, 2014. When I had the rhizotomy procedure on my back, it was supposed to last for 6 months. It went well beyond that, and I am so grateful. It is a good thing to remember how bad things were and how much it was helped. Especially now. These last few months, the back has definitely been feeling it. It's not the nerve pain down my legs, just the regular arthritis, degenerative disc, overuse of muscle pain. It's stupid I know. I was browsing around the internet...

The Mundane Details
Vomit Poo Poo. First . Tidbits from a working stay-at-home mom. Saturday, March 8, 2014. I can't do it. I cannot keep a consistent blog nor will I even commit to ever posting again. Imagine my surprise when I opened this old friend. It was fun to read what was on my mind then. Blogger tells me it has a new look. Not going to waste time figuring out the new system but I also noticed that 3 people visited this blog yesterday! Wednesday, November 3, 2010. UPDATE: Recent Pictures from this Fall. I thought I ...
