Saving lives, rehabilitating souls. September 21, 2014. Wow, it’s just been forever since we’ve posted on here, and let me be the first to apologize for our disappearing act. We’ve definitely been here, behind the scenes, doing what we do. I promise to post a couple of update posts about all of that shortly. PROMISE! 1 Check with your veterinarian. Will they accept a payment plan? 3 Borrowing money from friends and/or family. Only you know whether this is an option or not, but if it is, don’t overl...

Saving lives, rehabilitating souls. April 14, 2015. Excellent article that debunks some myths about positive-reinforcement training. Clearly written and backed by science (with citations). Disclaimer: I am a force-free trainer and do not use pain, intimidation, or fear to modify dogs’ behavior. The following is a rebuttal to Gary Wilkes’ article titled Modern, Scientific, Positive Dog Training and Dirty Little Secrets. For brevity’s sake, this post will only focus on the first six points of his article.

https://pugglesnpitties.org/2013/02/19/foster-urgently-needed
Saving lives, rehabilitating souls. February 19, 2013. Once again, we have an urgent plea to help a dog in need. THIS dog’s time is EXTREMELY limited due to a broken pelvis that is causing her considerable pain. She’s thought to be less than a year old, very small in size (maybe 35 lbs), and obviously very sweet. Our primary foster home is PACKED to the brim right now, so we can NOT take this girl without a foster’s assistance. Please, anyone in the LA / OC/ San Diego area who may be interested...Click t...

pitipixel: Buttons
http://pitipixel.blogspot.com/2010/02/buttons.html
Not afraid of Hoi Polloi. Sunday, February 28, 2010. Une fois n'est pas coutume, there is a new feline guest on the blog: our "cousin" Buttons, who was adopted a couple of months ago by my French friend Nathalie, along with her sister Bettle. These two have turned from shy ladies into beautiful, happy, playful cats, and also jumping/backflip champions! They are not easy to photograph, as they get easily scared - unlike my monkey crew who won't budge unless you shake a box of dry food! Cat with a Garden.

Not afraid of Hoi Polloi. Friday, July 31, 2009. Another plea for help. I'm not sure how many people look up this blog. probably not many. And among you, probably not many live in California, or even in the U.S. And among those who live in California, how many want a dog? Yeah virtually no one. So if anyone wants to help too, here is where to start:. Http:/ themuttscouts.wordpress.com/. All photos reposted from the Mutt Scouts' website. Links to this post. Friday, July 24, 2009.
