Thursday, June 4, 2009. And so it goes. I am shocked at how quickly I've forgotten her. But then again she doesn't give you anything to hold on to. And how can you love something that is disguised and not really there. It's like falling for a ghost. Come to think of it. There was only that 3 day window when i thought i loved her. Like a little frightened bird. A sparrow in fact. And it brought out the caring in me. But i guess that was just another mask she wore. I don't think she knows real emotion.

Monday, June 1, 2009. The difference between men and women is. With women there is always an agenda. They must have a reason to go to bed with you. Is he a potential boyfriend? Good for my career? Some of us, the idiot sensitive men, go to bed with a woman. Because it actually may be a loving experience. And a refuge from a world gone mad. To rest in the arms of someone you actually care about. And want to listen to. Even if the only sound is that of her heartbeat. Where one can almost hear God breathe.

Wednesday, May 27, 2009. He always wanted to write. 8220;the night they drove old dixie down”. Although he didn’t understand it. He wanted to incorporate it into one of his poems. It took him back to a time. And the great love. He, now, is even gone. He had so many friends. I miss his chuckle. His view of a world gone mad. Needed jazz as an underscore. Had a heart as big as the twinkle in his eye. That refused to die. Like an old soldier. He only knew war. I wish he’d stayed around long enough.

Thursday, May 28, 2009. There's the room, second to the left. Just down the hallway before the light. From the window throws everything into a blur. Of that house where my father fought. World war three every night. The only survivors of that holocaust. My sisters and i. Sometimes i stumble back. Into the land of what may have been. Through those fields of strikes. And ambitions run out before their time. In the empty stadium. The bleachers filled with ghosts. Each one an expert on the game.

Monday, June 1, 2009. The typewriter insulted my mother. Your recent publication of my work got me ridiculed. The critics sent my champagne back after spitting in it. Thank God my father died, I have been using his name. This room has killed me. I had a heart bursting with love for humanity until that bloody transplant. The vodka knows my exwife and has been phoning her late at night. My recent suicide has been called a publicity stunt. Women scattered my ashes in a dumpster after cursing my existence.
