Welcome to our… Home Crazzy Home. Buttons…Lessons for Life. My eighteen year old son is less than pleased with me right now. He is in quarantine today, because he announced this morning that he thought he had swine flu. More than likely the kind that young people get from partying with friends. Welcome to our… Home Crazzy Home. Mega Families – More Environmentally Friendly. With my older children now grown and a recent separation, my Frugal Fam is down to just two: me and my five year-old daughter. Welcome to our… Home Crazzy Home. Home Economics…Part 2. Posted by Tara Neale. November 17, 2016. The other day I talked about ironing napkins…and being a perfectionist. And I did do all that…BUT did I mention that the downstairs got ‘perfectly’ clean but the other 3 storeys were a wreck? Of course now, I have Cookie Monster so I try harder…and besides I am happier anyway. But this is about more than kvetching. The point is:. As always though…today I pulled myself up by the boot straps and not only...

Towera Ridley textiles, millinery, making. Making things and staying curious. Divers in the garden. December 13, 2014. I am so pleased to share some great news I had yesterday. In the middle of a scramble for yet another deadline and running a fundraiser for our final year show at New Designers in London (I like to multi-task), I received an email from our Head of School telling me that I have been awarded a Scholarship from the Worshipful Company of Weavers! Edited with BlogPad Pro. So much has happened!

Towera Ridley textiles, millinery, making. Making things and staying curious. Divers in the garden. Little dress challenge – progress report 1. August 7, 2015. In between a few other things, this is what I managed so far today:. Testing the insert fabric for drape. Once it’s trimmed down I think it will look ok! For this pinned mock-up I used what would be a quarter circle insert. So now I know what pattern I need to cut. I cut it as an eighth-circle on the fold of the black fabric. Thank you so much!

Towera Ridley textiles, millinery, making. Making things and staying curious. Divers in the garden. Little dress challenge – done! August 12, 2015. So I wasn’t slacking over the weekend, but I did get hit by one of those awful summer flus that’s going round, so everything has been very much slower than I’d planned! However in between naps and lemsips I carried on with my stitching:. Pinning the hem to check the length before tacking. Ready to party 😊🎉. Edited with BlogPad Pro. All Change →. Follow &ldq...

Works in Progress VI….and Blog Hiatus. August 14, 2015. Hellllooooo, dear reader! I have big (somewhat sad, somewhat exciting) announcements! But first a quick shot of what I’ve been working on🙂. Remember my friends wedding dress I was altering? This is the after photo! Bet you thought that was the before photo, that’s right I’m THAT good! I also added a little something extra- this is of the inside of the back hem. That’s right I’ve added a new skill to the arsenal! My good friend Elizabeth. Sooo…...
