Nerdy by Nature: February 2008
http://chris-car.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 16, 2008. Grad school is very HARD. I'm starting a new rotation, although I am permanently in a lab, my adviser would like me to do another rotation to show a breadth of experience, where I'll be doing some analytical chemistry in a lab which does a lot of the race horse testing for steroids. Should be somewhat interesting. PS This is a great story (mp3) from This American Life today. Malcolm Gladwell tells a story about newspapering and perverse and often baffling. It's been a while.

Nerdy by Nature: Reagan's post: Recent updates, home, dogs, etc.
http://chris-car.blogspot.com/2009/02/reagans-post-recent-updates-home-dogs.html
Saturday, February 7, 2009. Reagan's post: Recent updates, home, dogs, etc. Things have been busy around here, so that's probably why we haven't posted in awhile. Chris spent the first three weeks of this quarter living in Fresno and conducting a field study on air quality, then came home and has been madly studying to catch up, taking tests and TAing. We are definitely ready for the walk-a-thon! Now, I am brainstorming ways to fund raise, so that we can help repay the SPCA for their help and effort!

Thursday, October 30, 2008. If you give a man a Moose steak. He's probably going to want to take a picture of himself looking like an idiot with the steak. Wait, rewind. I lack creativity and I must proceed chronologically so lets go to the previous week. The park has an off leash area, tennis courts, odd octagon basketball court and baseball fields right off our backyard. The dogs love it and Reg and I do too. PPS Flyby video from Turn 4 of Laguna Seca Raceway, pretty awesome. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Nerdy by Nature: September 2008
http://chris-car.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 21, 2008. Crescent City, CA. So, this past weekend, Reg, Scout, Luke (yes, the new member of our family! And myself headed up the coast to the beach town of Crescent City. My mom and dad drove down and met us and we got to explore the redwoods, tour highway 101 and check out the local beach town cuisine. This is why you don't store food on the floor with the dogs.). My mom found the place as it was a good "central" location (we had the easy drive @ 6 hours, theirs took 9.) It is a l...

Nerdy by Nature: April 2008
http://chris-car.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 26, 2008. Naa nanaa nanaaa Naan. Josh also got messed up by the airlines and lucky for him, had a layover in Sacramento so he stayed Friday night with us. It was really good to see him again. PS We are hopefully moving into a two-bedroom place on the other side of Davis next September, so people staying will be much more comfortable for them. We're at the top of the list and have an "in" with the manager, so hopefully, hopefully it will work out. Well see. Monday, April 21, 2008. The stee...
