The Life and Times of the Newberry's! Wednesday, May 27, 2009. I'm so proud of ME! We told ourselves that we'd "take it easy" and not worry about the speed, just go the distance. But during the ride back, we were kicking it in at 19-20 mph with some other hot-shot cyclist and I guess we felt we had to keep up with him because he was on a mountain bike. As long as I was drafting, I was able to keep up, even after 40 miles! I'll have to get a picture posted to show it off! We're really enjoying this sport!

We got there Mid-November and were able to visit through Thanksgiving. Chet was even able to take some leave and visit before we all headed back home together. No Santa pictures here. Silas preferred getting a polar bear picture instead. Watching out the door for more family to come. He loved sitting (sleeping) on Uncle Zach's lap. End of Summer 13.

CLICK HERE FOR BLOGGER TEMPLATES. Dec 26, 2008. We followed a bike trail up a little way to the beginning of Fawn Trail. We followed that around the mountain a while, then switched over to a couple different trails, then finally ended up on the Appalachian trail. Most of the trail was even and easy. But when we switched onto the Appalachian trail the path grew much steeper as we made our way up to the top of the mountain. We finally made it, and were rewarded with a stunning view of the Hudson River!
