Tuesday, September 13, 2016. Roald Dahl 100 Celebratroy Blog Tour Giveaway. As I'm sure many of you know, today is a special day, because if Roald Dahl were alive today, he would be 100 years old. Working in the children's room of a public library, I get the joy of constantly introducing new readers to Roald Dahl's work. I've talked about this before, but Matilda. My all time favorite book. The Reader of Books. We’re going to be sick! It is bad enough when parents treat ordinary. Matilda’s brother ...

Consumed by Books: Review of The List by Siobhan Vivian
http://www.consumedbybooks.com/2016/03/review-of-list-by-siobhan-vivian.html
Monday, March 7, 2016. Review of The List by Siobhan Vivian. An intense look at the rules of high school attraction - and the price that's paid for them. It happens every year. A list is posted, and one girl from each grade is chosen as the prettiest, and another is chosen as the ugliest. Nobody knows who makes the list. It almost doesn't matter. The damage is done the minute it goes up. Some people whose opinions I put pretty high trust in have read and loved The List. The messages in this story about p...

Consumed by Books: Review of If You Could Be Mine by Sara Farizan
http://www.consumedbybooks.com/2016/10/review-of-if-you-could-be-mine-by-sara.html
Tuesday, October 4, 2016. Review of If You Could Be Mine by Sara Farizan. In this stunning debut, a young Iranian American writer pulls back the curtain on one of the most hidden corners of a much-talked-about culture. If You Could Be Mine. Is a book that immediately intrigued me: two women! Set in another country! In retrospect, I should have anticipated that it wouldn’t quite work for my reading tastes, since shorter books aren’t always my thing. The writing here is subpar. There is a lot of tellin...

Consumed by Books: Review of Stolen by Lucy Christopher
http://www.consumedbybooks.com/2015/07/review-of-stolen-by-lucy-christopher.html
Thursday, July 30, 2015. Review of Stolen by Lucy Christopher. It happened like this. I was stolen from an airport. Taken from everything I knew, everything I was used to. Taken to sand and heat, dirt and danger. And he expected me to love him. This is my story. A letter from nowhere. Without a doubt, my favorite part of Stolen. Is the landscape. Christopher's Outback is a place that is remote, beautiful, and terrifying with descriptions so vivid that you can almost feel how dry the entire place is&#...

Tuesday, May 3, 2016. Review of The Assassin's Blade by Sarah J. Maas. Celaena Sardothien is her kingdom's most feared assassin. Though she works for the powerful and ruthless Assassin's Guild, Celaena yields to no one and trusts only her fellow killer for hire, Sam. This collection of five novellas offers listeners a deeper look into the history of this cunning assassin and her enthralling—and deadly—world. I was told by Alexa. Consumed by Books: Where I've Been In 2015
http://www.consumedbybooks.com/2016/01/where-ive-been-in-2015.html
Monday, January 4, 2016. Where I've Been In 2015. I can hardly believe that my last post of 2015 was in July. I’m sure a lot of you thought I’d given up on blogging. I don’t think I have. I still want to review books, and I want to post discussion posts. At times I wonder how relevant I am to the book blogging community. I don’t take stunning Instagrams or make flawlessly edited YouTube videos, and I’m not constantly churning out clever features with stunning graphics that I designed myself. It started o...

http://www.consumedbybooks.com/2016/01/my-top-12-favorite-books-of-2015.html
Tuesday, January 5, 2016. My Top 12 Favorite Books of 2015. Here are my top 12 books of 2015! I haven't gotten around to reviewing all of them, and I've been focusing more on my young adult reviews. I highly recommend that you check all of these out if you haven't already. I prefer not to make separate lists for new releases and backlist books, because I tend to read a mix of both. Here are my favorites of the year. This was a fantastic follow up to Seraphina. Gave me so many feels. I enjoyed Grave Mercy.
