The Things in Life That Make Us Smile: September 2013
http://bjarnaville2.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
The Things in Life That Make Us Smile. Saturday, September 14, 2013. There's a kids' pool off-base that we've frequented several times this summer, and it requires the kids to wear swim caps. We picked up these cute yellow ones at the hundred yen store. While Sydney was reluctant to wear hers at first, it grew on her pretty quickly and she later wore it at the beach on several occasions when there was absolutely no need. Swim caps- check. Laundry basket- check. Grocery bags- check. The morning of check-o...

The Things in Life: July 2012
http://bjarnaville.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
The Things in Life. That make us smile. Monday, July 23, 2012. Sydney at swim lessons. I thought if water going in her eyes was the issue, goggles would do the trick. She was really excited to wear them, but that only helped for one lesson and then she was over them. Using the kick board (her teacher said she was crying when she was doing this). Shawn climbing around by the chairs. Sydney on the balance beam. Finishing up the balance obstacle course. Arms after jumping off the balance beam. We saw severa...

The Things in Life: Happy Birthday Spencer!
http://bjarnaville.blogspot.com/2013/01/happy-birthday-spencer.html
The Things in Life. That make us smile. Wednesday, January 2, 2013. We had a low key celebration for Spencer's birthday. About two days before his birthday, he told me he didn't want anyone to come over and he didn't want a cake. I disobeyed both wishes- I baked him the usual carrot cake and invited the Heaton's to come share it with us. He was so excited to turn 30! False He was actually kind of sad about it. Can you tell Syd helped place the candles? Check out that smoke! January 4, 2013 at 6:40 AM.

The Things in Life: May 2012
http://bjarnaville.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
The Things in Life. That make us smile. Tuesday, May 29, 2012. Manzamo Point and Hiji Falls. There were some vendor tents set up near the parking lot, and while we browsed the Japanese ladies were going gaga over Sydney's hair. One lady kept telling us she looked like a movie star (maybe it was her 8 necklaces and her blinged out headband? Another one put a fake flower on a bobby pin and put it in her hair. Sydney was totally eating it up. We couldn't have asked for better weather! He crossed the bridge ...

The Things in Life That Make Us Smile: October 2013
http://bjarnaville2.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
The Things in Life That Make Us Smile. Thursday, October 31, 2013. He was introduced to the atrocious barracks that would be his home for the next 2 1/2 weeks,. Spencer's room, complete with flies, spiders, and creaky doors. The electricity in the barracks was also inconsistent. The shower. It was chilly in the morning, and the water was super cold. The highly sanitary looking stove where meals were prepared for them. Enjoyed various welcoming ceremonies,. Ate some disgusting Mongolian food,. One weekend...

The Headrick Family: Catching up....Again
http://headrick.blogspot.com/2012/07/catching-upagain.html
Sunday, July 1, 2012. A brief recap of the last couple of months:. Spring Break we colored Easter eggs (which I neglected to post pictures of for our anual contest). Took a trip to Niagra Falls. The girls loved it! I had a lengthy chat with Talia before we went that if she were to get in the water she would end up going over then edge and it wouldn't be fun. The highlight of the trip was taking the boat ride to the base of the falls. Aubrey graduated from middle school and is now headed to high school!

The Headrick Family: Ode to the Theater
http://headrick.blogspot.com/2012/03/ode-to-theater.html
Sunday, March 18, 2012. Ode to the Theater. How has it taken me so long to discover musical theater? I have always loved watching it but until this year I had never really participated and now I wonder how my life was ever complete without it. The girls were fantastic! That is so cool that you and your girls have a common interest to share like that! Since they are getting an early start, maybe one of them will become a career actress! March 19, 2012 at 7:50 AM.
