Friday, June 19, 2015. Shawn's karate test for 3rd red stripe on double blue belt. It's hard to see Shawn (because of his size, place in line, and all the kids look like bobbleheads with their gear on! But Shawn is 2nd in line, next to the boy in red gear. It was a really short test (just 1 move), but he earned his 3rd red stripe on his double blue belt. Coming soon is a test is for a red belt! To see the bobble heads testing. Sunday, November 30, 2014. Shawn had a Black Friday party at National Karate in the morning. It was probably planned to give parents a chance to shop sans kids for a couple of hours, but neither Raj nor I are very excited about dodging elbows to score a deal, so Shawn partied while Raj saw a couple of patients. Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Lilly and I had Stroller Strides this morning. I'm still a bit sore from Monday's lunges and squats (which we do often, but somehow did a number in me last time). It's awesome to be having class outside now! I try to remember to dress us in layers because the first couple of minutes can be a little chilly still, more so if it's windy. By the end of class today, everyone was shedding layers! Lilly and I just enjoyed the calm of blowing bubbles while the boys were a blur around us.
