Users of six popular Internet social networking sites will soon be able to easily report sexual predators and other abuses with a new online icon. Icon will be displayed on every Web page and will lead to a drop-down menu in which users can check the type of threat they've experienced sexual predator, suicide threat, graphic violence, nudity, cyber-bullying and other choices. Thursday, October 4, 2007. Looking Back: Explosions shook Sayreville for three days. On Oct. 4, 1918, workers at an ammunition factory in the Morgan area of Sayreville, mixed a perilous combination of TNT and scrap metal, triggering a series of massive explosions that lasted for three days, killed about 100 people and shattered glass as far away as Newark. The blast leveled 300 buildings, most of Sayreville. Authorities declared martial law and evacuated 62,000 people. Read more here. Links to this post.
