Last week I was blessed to find my self in the Big Easy enjoying the true south! This was a coming home for me as my father was raised near here. It's been almost 14 years since he took me on a trip through the area and I honored him with a prayer and candle flame at the St. Louis Cathedral. The NFL even hosted a mardigras-like parade throwing beads and dabloons! A Day in L.A.

Our first stop was 91 – Third St. Promenade – An all pedestrian street in Santa Monica considered one of the premier shopping destinations in Los Angeles. March 14, 2011 · 11:57 pm. My mouth had been watering all day for the shrimp meal I planned to make tonight. I had taken them out of the freezer to thaw on Saturday afternoon, so the shrimp have only been in the fridge for 2 1/2 days. They didn’t have an unusually fishy smell as I peeled them but as soon as I started to cook them I knew something was wrong. There was this strong scent of ammonia! If you smell ammonia while cooking shrimp- throw them out immediately! So, it’s salad for me tonight : (.
