When you’re old enough to re-paint but young enough to sell | The Notebook

https://thenotebookblog.wordpress.com/2010/05/18/when-youre-old-enough-to-re-paint-but-young-enough-to-sell

The Daily Treat, Monday 19th April 2010. May 18, 2010 · 4:17 pm. When you’re old enough to re-paint but young enough to sell. To buy or not to buy? 8230;that’s the question I should not be asking because we definitely can’t afford to buy at the moment! However, we seem to keep looking for new flats resulting in a crazy machochistic cycle. To end this madness I’m focussing in on our current flat and thought I’d get creative and make some improvements. I was inspired by Meg, from meg gets crafty.

About the Notebook | The Notebook

https://thenotebookblog.wordpress.com/about

What is the notebook blog? Well, it is very much like the notebook you keep in your handbag except its not made of paper, you can’t carry it around with you and it is not in any way a tangible item. But the idea’s the same – its a place to hold our ideas on life, trashy films and wallpaper. Doesn’t that sound grand? Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. The Daily Treat, Thursday 8th April 2010. Small gardens →. April 9, 2010 · 11:43 am. Arrested Development Movie isn’t going to happen it turns out… sad. I got so addicted for so long! When Arrested Development star David Cross was asked about the status of the movie adaptation, he gave a very disappointing answer. Bring back the Bluths! The Daily Treat, Thursday 8th April 2010. The first (and possibly last) day of Spring | The Notebook

https://thenotebookblog.wordpress.com/2010/04/12/the-first-and-possibly-last-day-of-spring

Pleeeeeeeeeeeease watch this if you have a minute, it’s hilarious! Cheap and Healthy →. April 12, 2010 · 8:36 pm. The first (and possibly last) day of Spring. I grabbed this shot today as I squinted, yes squinted, into the Giant Yellow Fire Ball which rolled into the sky above Glasgow. The Giant Yellow Fire Ball was in town making it’s annual appearance before rolling back behind the Sheet of Wet Grey which covers us for the rest of the year. Cheap and Healthy →. Moving. Again. | Waiting for Some Words

Waiting for Some Words. Abroad thoughts from home. Credit: 2005 Flickr / Ken Douglas. Scotland – it’s a lovely place to return home to, and the beauty of places like Edinburgh is hard to beat. Although I have plans (perhaps not means) to move on from there fairly soon, I hope I can continue to enjoy the place for the rest of my life. Edinburgh. Credit: 2010 Flickr / byronv2. Waiting for Some Words. Abroad thoughts from home. A train in the distance…. If this blog has any overarching theme, it’s probably travel – observations thereon, tinged with self-deprecating apologies for not having written more. Anyway, these observations are mostly of surroundings: the places themselves and what I have found notable in each one. But what about the journey? Getting from A to B is a genre all of its own. Go to sleep in Dundee, wake up in London) since volcanoes started ruining everyone&#...

And congratulations to Kenyon’s graduating class of 2005. There are these two young fish swimming along and they happen to meet an older fish swimming the other way, who nods at them and says “Morning, boys. How’s the water? Waiting for Some Words. Abroad thoughts from home. Time flies, girls, when you’re having fun. These days it’s rare for me to write a personal letter or email that doesn’t somewhere reference how time flies. And looking at this blog for the first time since – ahem – May 2012 was just another marker of how quickly the years whoosh by. It’s in a grey area, but, when the heavy issues I mention are resolved (and surely that’s a goal we can all agree on? And then there’s the language inequalities –...Most peop...

July 28, 2015. By The NoteBook Blogairy. Today is my birthday. And finally, after all of these years, it has settled in. We don’t control our destiny. Sure, we may plan, scheme, think, assess and devise a route that will get us to our purported plan(s). However, WE are not the deciding factor. The trick is simple…we have to get in alignment with THE DECIDING FACTOR. Every culture has its own name for THE DECIDING FACTOR and depending upon religion/faith/belief/etc. you will call it a different name.
