Over-The-Top and Loving It! It is on this page that I shall try to sound at least slightly intelligent about national and world events. Simply put this is where I stand upon my ever-ready soap box. And, boy do I need my soap box these days! Then, on the social issues side: There are the HOMELESS; JOBLESS; CHILDREN WITHOUT PARENTS; CHILDREN WITH AWFUL PARENTS; FOSTER HOMES; GANGS; BAD TV AND VIOLENT VIDEO GAMES; MOVIES PRETENDING TO BE SOMETHING OTHER THAN PORN; BAD INTERNET; THE ROLL OF THE EIGHT BALL?

Over-The-Top and Loving It! Share the Pain….Share the Gain….Share the Punishment. Beautiful June Saturday @ Sutro →. Have You Ever Pondered What 10 to the 20th Power Meant? April 4, 2009. I know, I know, I wonder about weird stuff. But that is because I have no formal education and therefore I find myself reading about things that most folks considered at an earlier stage of their lives. For instance, should a student of a foreign language want to, they could do their homework using such dictionaries tha...

Over-The-Top and Loving It! Have You Ever Pondered What 10 to the 20th Power Meant? Beautiful June Saturday @ Sutro. June 7, 2009. I had nothing to do today (Saturday), and being a person born of low energy I took advantage. I stayed up in to the wee hours of Friday night/morning watching TV and reading and napping off and on. Went to sleep about 15 minutes til 6 am this Saturday. Woke up around 11 am and slowly uncoiled, ate cereal and part of a huge mango with coffee on the side. Bless the folks in San...

Over-The-Top and Loving It! Blue Skies; Sparkly Night. Have You Ever Pondered What 10 to the 20th Power Meant? Share the Pain….Share the Gain….Share the Punishment. April 4, 2009. Just heard about something that Brandeis University near Boston has done: Called “Share the Pain”. Makes me feel good! Does that mean I would have done it just as they did? Well, I hope Obama is not getting something out of it. Let us give Congress and the President a choice either take a year’s salary at $1/yr or take a ...

Over-The-Top and Loving It! Share the Pain….Share the Gain….Share the Punishment →. Blue Skies; Sparkly Night. March 22, 2009. Living near the ocean, Sutro Park and the Presidio, in the early afternoons I often watch this huge bird hovering over the trees that are the Bonsais of the Sutro. He never moves a muscle, rides the waves of the air currents and stiff winds off the ocean like a kite managing to stay in one spot as if held in place by an invisible string. I wonder what he’s thinking? I am going to...

Over-The-Top and Loving It! On this page I intend to discuss all sorts of ideas about society from my hill spot. All of us being the society and the hill spot where I stand at this stage of life. The good, bad and ugly must be examined. This page will hold my philosophies and record how they developed and still develop. First off let me establish my reference point on the hill as 63 years young. Truly young, as I am an admitted late bloomer. Sixty-three for me is probably not as old as 63 for oth...I say...

I Wish I Was a Scientist | but I’m not a Scientist
I Wish I Was a Scientist. But I’m not a Scientist. November 4, 2010. This is terribly interesting to me. The idea that ceratopsian jaw design and dentation suggests a possible omnivorous diet completely changes my perspective on the creatures. But it is kind of exciting too. It provides an opportunity to completely rethink some of the most popular dinosaurs of all time. Check out some of the other illustrations in this Flickr photostream, they are great. On Cobras, Venom, and The Critters That Can Survive.

Long Arm Quilting Services. Monday, May 11, 2015. Spring Clean Your a Studio Blog Hop. Here in Chicago, it seems like spring might have forgotten us, but today was - at least for a few minutes - glorious. For the first time in about eight months. I spent the day in my sewing studio. When I heard that Cheryl Sleboda over at muppin.com. This project began as a serious uphill battle:. Yes: somewhere under there IS my long arm. Crying. And a brand spanking new Janome MCP 12000. Impossible to find a thing.
