July 16, 2015. July 16, 2015. SIX BOOKS FOR THE SUMMER…. Here are some books that I recommend. I have taken something useful from each of these, and would be interested to hear your thoughts on them. This book juggles some wild ideas, don’t be afraid of the blurb. On Writing: A Memoir on the Craft. Some great tips on the writing process, and becoming a better writer. I would also recommend her book. An epistolary novel split into two parts with two separate narrators. 5) Out Stealing Horses. June 3, 2015.

I wrote my first story when I was four years old. It was a note to my Mama telling her that my little sister had been pulling my hair. Since then I have been trying hard to recreate that same sense of peril and urgency. In high school, my short story “Weiß” came in second in my school’s literary competition.
